*Mirah's POV*
She woke up suddenly. A note had fallen onto her face sometime during the night. She reached up and took it off.
Your teammates have been taken. Meet at the Abyss Tunnels on the night of the new moon at midnight. Come alone, or your teammates will be hurt. If you do not come, your teammates will die. If you come, and don't do anything that might forfeit their lives, they will live, and will leave with you if you provide us with what we want. - Snowkillers
She ran out of the room.
*Time Skip*
Mirah called an emergency team meeting.
"Report in team!" she called out, tension straining her voice.
"Akyra, reporting in!"
"Sarina, reporting in!"
"Sylas, reporting in!"
"Where's Aedward?" Mirah choked out.
"He's hurt and in the infirm." Sarina said. "He was attacked, but he managed to get to my door before going unconscious."
"Whew. We need 24/7 surveillance on him just in case."
"Just in case what? And why haven't Jexica and Ysaac reported in?" Akyra asked, worried.
"I have so bad news. Jexica, Ysaac, Antorn, and Flyer have been kidnapped by a renegade terrorist group of hybrids called the Snowkillers. They want me to meet them at the Abyss Tunnels at midnight, alone, on Friday."
"Don't go. We can't risk losing you as well as 4 more hybrids. We wouldn't even be a team anymore! With no leader, we may as well be renagades ourselves." Sylas said.
"He's right. We can't run a division with 3 hybrids and 1 hurt hybrid." Akyra agreed, and Sarina nodded.
"What if it's a trick? What if it's a trap to get another hybrid? How do you know if they actually are going to not hurt them?"
"As weird as this sounds, I don't think they will hurt them. They're too important, and they need something from us, so I don't think-"
"So this is a ransom? Ransoms never work! It's always a trick! And also, you don't know for certain that they won't hurt them!" Sarina said.
"Too bad guys. I'm going, and as team leader, I order you to stay here, and you cannot follow me."
