I wake up and notice Shawn is still sleeping, I go to the bathroom and put my hair up. I walk out and Shawn is still sleeping, I remember i had my grandpas bow out here so I go looking for it. I find it in my closet and I go outside.
The sound of the arrow flying through the air calms me and I shoot a few more. The sound of the screen door opening gets my attention as I pull back another arrow.
"Hey babe" he says with his messy hair and sleepy voice.
"Hey." I say as i focus back on the target and let another arrow go. I walk down to retrieve my arrows, I pull them all out I put away the bow and walk out to see Shawn playing a guitar. My dad's to be exact.
"Who's is this?" He says as he starts playing a familiar sounding tune on it.
"My dad's" I say but it comes out as more of a whisper.
"Oh." He says and starts to put it back in the corner.
"No,keep playing." I acknowledge,he looks at me with weary eyes but pulls it back up on his lap.
"My parents would have loved you..." I say as I rest my head on his shoulder.
"You think?" He says and smiles.
"Hey, you should come up with me to my grandparents, they will love you to." I say.
"Yeah, I'm cool with that." He says and I smile as he gently puts the guitar back in the corner.
"We can take the ranger so we get there faster."
"Why don't we take ours we just put gas in it and I owe you a lot of money already, I mean you paid to put gas in our 4-wheelers, so."
"No, we can take mine, I actually have something to tell you." I say "My grandparents are like millionaires so were my parents, when my grandparents die, I'm going to get about 10-20 million dollars. My brother getting the same. So, let's just say I'm pretty well set." I say and he smiles.
"Ok, we can take yours but don't think I won't pay you back for this." He says with a wink.
"Go get ready." I say pushing him toward the bathroom.
"Ok, let's go." We run outside like kids after getting ready I get in first so I'm driving and were off to go meet my grandparents, I hope they love him as much as i do
