Can I Trust You?

We finished eating the macaroni and we're on our way to Best Buy. I plan on buying the iPhone 7plus and an Apple Watch. Maybe even a MacBook.

We arrived and Quan came over to open my door and help me out. He closed the door and kissed my cheek.

We walked in and we're immediately spotted by fans and a cahsier.

"Oh my god its Daquan Henderson!!" One white girl whispered to her black friend. They both squealed over him and came over and asked for a picture.

"Hey Daquan. We know you're a good basketball player and we hear your going to start playing with the Lakers!" The black girl said.

"Yeah I'm glad to get up outta hear and get a fresh start." He chuckled.

"Can we get a picture with you guys?" They both asked shyly. I looked at Quan and he looked at me. I laughed and shrugged my shoulders.

Ms., can you please take our picture?" The white girl asked giving her two phones. She took them and stepped back.

The black girl came to my left side, the white one went to the left of her friend, and Quan was on the white girls' left.

I smiled and put my arm on the girls back and hers was on mines. I peeked to the side and saw Quan's arm around the girls' shoulder. As long as it's nowhere else I'm good.

She took the pictures and gave them their phones back.

Before they walked off Quan said something.

"Upload those on social media and tag us in them and we'll like it, maybe even repost it." He winked and they gasped in shock. They squealed then left.

"Now is there anything I can help the lovely couple with?" She asked politely.

"Yes please. I'm looking to buy an iPhone 7plus, an Apple Watch, I'm contemplating on buying a MacBook." I said counting my fingers. Quan and the cashier laughed at me. I guess I let out a chuckle.

"So just take me to the Apple section!" I demanded but in a playful manner. She nodded with a laugh.

Quan told me he was going to go look at other stuff and I nodded and walked off with the cashier. She told me her name and I told her mines. Her name is Zaria.

We got along very well. Of course she's white but race doesn't bother me and I could honestly care less.

We talked so much that we exchanged numbers and I asked her to call or text me if she wants to hang out.

45 minutes later I was about to walk through the doors with my bags and realized Quan wasn't with me.

"Quan let's go, I'm leaving!" I yelled. I yelled because there were barely people here and they're all black by surprise. He text me and said wait inside the car. I sent him a brown colored thumbs up emoji and locked my phone.

"Hey Jade?" I heard my voice. I turned around and saw Zaria walking up to me from the counter and she was playing with her hands looking down.

"Yeah?" I asked.

"Um, I just wanted to say that I'm sorry If I got a little too close and annoying. I'm going through a tuff time and just lost my job and I'm trying to find work to support me and my daughter. I'm just wanna say sorry again for being-"

"No Zaria you're fine! I don't have a problem with you at all. You're so nice and bubbly and I can tell you stay in your own world. And I definitely don't have a problem with white people and other racists. I'd mess a body up if I-"

"Oh gosh Jade ok I get your point." She cut me off laughing.

"Thanks for what you said about me. I'd like to hang out with you soon if thats ok with you?" She asked.

"Yeah sure just text or call me whenever." I hugged her and she hugged me back.

"Please, enjoy yourself at work today. Don't stress." I said

"Thanks so much. Have a great day!" She said as I was walking out the door.

I was like a foot away from the car until someone came up from behind me and put some clothing on my face covering my nose and mouth. It smelt disgusting. I was trying to get the person off of me but they we're too strong.

The cloth slipped to the side so I bit their thumb.

"Aww!!" I heard a loud, but feminine, voice. I turned around and saw a female shaped body but she had a ski mask on. I ran up to her to try and yank it off but I felt a punch to my face.

I fell out and hit something hard. Next thing I know, everything is dark...
