I turned the lamp on on my nightstand.

"Jay? What's wrong, why you crying?" She didn't answer. I kept calling her name then she turned and punched my bare chest.

"Quan you had that damn phone on speaker. That was between me and Kev and not meant for you and his ugly ass told you and now you bout to come after him" I looked at her confused.

"Jade Zanaè Weston, I'm your best friend and you can come to me anytime you like. But Kev told me he ain't treatin you right. If he ain't treating my bestie right then he crazy!" She smiled while looking at me.

"You think it's a joke," I said lookin serious. "When I take you to school tomorrow Imma set him straight!" She shook her head and went under the covers.

"Whatever, fight him I beat you." I looked at her crazy

"I know crybaby ain't talking, take yo short self to sleep." She went silent. "What I thought.."

I got in the bed and turned the TV off. I turned toward Jade.

"Can I? Please? Bestieee!!!" She laughed and nodded. I came in and cuddled with her and wrapped my arms around her.

The next day..

"Wake up baby girl.. Jay." I heard a voice then realized it was Quan when I turned around.

"Goodmorning, you have school." He bent down and kissed my cheek, which made me blush.

"Girl, fine ass.." I blushed even more. I got outta bed and went to the bathroom to go pee and brush my teeth. I went back to my room of the house to go get my clothes.

I got my black t-shirt with different cropped pictures of Michael Jackson on the front and back. (He's so husband material y'all just don't know😫😍) I put on a pair of bleached jeans and black heels. I put on my Glo by JLO perfume and lotion. I put on my golden necklace and my promise ring Quan gave me the day before he left.

I put on my golden hoop earrings and went into the bathroom to do hygiene and my make up. I put on black eyeliner for cat eyes, mascara, red glitter eyeshadow, and blood red lipstick. I grabbed my gold circle framed glasses and put a part on the side of my hair just to get that outta the way then went out the bathroom.

As my heels clanked against the hardwood floor, I assumed Quan heard me because he started talking junk.

"Girl witcho big feet self. I can hear you from downstairs!" I laughed

"Boy you got bigger feet than me, wow." He came up to me and picked me up bridal style and threw me on my bed.

"Ahh shit Jay! Yo damn heel hit my head." He said rubbing his forehead. I was just laughing at him. He looked at me which made me laugh even harder.

"You know what.." he started tickling my whole body. I have an ugly laugh so I had to laugh ugly.

"Ew yo laugh Jay!" I laughed again. "Come on so I can take you to school." I nodded and got up.

I grabbed my purse and my phone and headed downstairs.

I went outside to the car and Quan stopped me.

"Ladies first miss.." he held out his hand and I took it. He opened the door and helped me in and closed the door.
