"Lamar!! I can't believe it's you!" I yelled.

"Look I can explain-" I kept going.

"You know Quan is going to kill you, right? Like seriously kill you!" I told him.

Lamar is one of Quan's best brothers. Well, before this. I first met Lamar when I saw Quan for the first time after he left. After that, he's always been so nice to me. Him and Quan were close, almost as close as him and Kevin is. I don't know how Quan will react to this, but I know Lamar may not survive his fury.

"Listen to me Jade. I'm so so sorry. I had to do it. I'm actually being forced to keep you hostage." He grabbed my hands on-top of the table.

"Jasmine's uncle owns a drug gang. His trap house is in the same city as Quan's so he now trying to take Quan and his boys out. I was at the trap house alone one day and the nigga came and said we better move our gang somewhere else or he'll kill us. Since then he been on our ass. I got a text to go to a location. I got jumped. They automatically put me in their gang. They took my phone and texted Quan that he won't be seeing me for a while cause I'll be gone to see my family, when I'm reality, I'm being forced to destroy my friendship with my boss." He said. He sounded so heartbroken.

"I'm so sorry, Lamar." Was all I could say. I heard a loud noise in the house and got scared.

"Nah don't be sorry cause we bout to get the hell outta here." He said quickly. He grabbed my hand and yanked me with him.

"Where are we going?!" I asked panicking.

"Shut up and stop talking!" He whispered but semi yelled.

We ran out the back door and ran to the gate. It was locked so we were stuck.

"We gotta jump." He told me.

"I can't I'm pregnant carrying two unborns." I said with a blunt tone.

"Shit! Ok hold on, step back, I don't wanna hurt you." He said pushing me back. He turned around and kicked the fence down.

"Where y'all two going?" We turned around and was a tall and masculine black guy. He had a box and had a pistol in his hand.

"Come on Jade NOW!" He yelled. He pulled me and we ran together in the dark night.

I woke up in a hotel room with the sun in my face. I turn around and Lamar is still sleep the other bed.

I get up and wake him up.

"What Jade?" He mumbled.

"Well I don't know. We run for 3 hours in the dark night to the closest hotel to get away from that maniac and I wake you up and all you say is that?" I pulled the covers off of him and he was naked. His penis was all out.

I gasped and covered my eyes. I turned around and hid under the covers of my bed.

"You know you could've just kept the covers on me." He said.

"That's not my fault. You shouldn't be naked around me anyways. You know I have a boyfriend and he would've tore you up if he knew what happened." I said with a snap.

"Girl hush and take that pillow off your face." He said.

"No, I'm not looking at you naked." I shook my head with the pillow.

"I'm not naked anymore so put it down." He demanded.

I took it off slowly and looked up. He had on Black shorts and a camouflage tank.

"That's better, but what do we do now. I miss my baby," I pouted.

"Hold on its a phone right here." He sat down and dialed Quan's number on the hotel phone and I sat on the bed beside him.

"Hello? Aye man it's Lamar!" He put the phone on speaker so I could here.

"Yeah wassup bro." He said sounding so depressed. He sniffed after he said bro.

"Yo dude we gotta talk-" he got cut off.

"Look Lamar, I'm sorry. I don't know if you heard but my baby went missing two weeks ago. I been looking and looking but I can't find her. I been crying everyday. Man I miss her so much it hurts-"

"Shut up and stop talking dude! I'm in a hotel room with Jade right now. I just-"

"WHAT THE HELL DID YOU JUST SAY!!? GIVE MY BABY THE PHONE RIGHT NOW!" When he said that, I heard a bunch of ruckus. I know he almost had a heart attack.

"Hey baby. I miss you so much!" I started to cry.

"Oh my damn gosh Jade where the hell y'all at, I'm bouta come get y'all." He said sniffing.

"We're in San Ferdinand, 2 miles east of LA. In BestWestern hotel. Hurry babe, please." I pleaded.

I heard keys and him closing the door to our family truck. "Alright boo I'm on the way right now, just made it out the neighborhood."

He hung up and Lamar and I just looked at each other.

"What are we gonna do now? If we go out, there's a chance we'll get caught." I asked him. He shrugged and looked away.

"Well, we're only 2 miles away from LA so that should be like 10 minutes till he'll be here. 2 minutes for Quan." I joked. He laughed with me. 

We sat back in our separate beds and turned on the tv. I changed the channel to BET and Poetic. Justice just came on from commercial. A while later, I dozed off.

"Jade. Wake up mama." A familiar voice trailed into my ear. I looked up and saw him.

"Oh lord, Quan I missed you baby! I missed you so much. Please don't leave me alone ever again." I cried into his chest. He grabbed me and held me tight.

"It's ok. It's ok baby it's just me. I won't leave you by yourself ever again. Oh how I missed you girl! I been crying everyday thinking that my three babies were gone forever." He grabbed my belly and kissed it. He sniffed them wiped his eyes.

"Don't say that, Quan. We ain't going no where. They wasn't bouta kill me and our babies without a fight." I said a wiped his streaming tears.

"Come on I gotta get you outta here." He grabbed me out of the bed and noticed that I had on my bra and panty set. I took my clothes off when Lamar fell asleep. It's a habit since I got pregnant.

"Girl where your clothes at? It's whatever just come put this robe on in the bathroom so we can go." He demanded. I got up and rushed to the bathroom. I threw on the white robe and kept my fuzzy socks on.

We opened the door then I realized Lamar wasn't with us.

"Wait where's Lamar?" I held his chest.

"Don't mind that, Jade. He learned himself a lesson." He slammed the door and dragged me to the elevator.

"But he helped me out, babe we can't just-" he grabbed me while we were in the elevator.

"That's ENOUGH about Lamar! I don't wanna hear that nigga name come out your mouth no more or I'll beat your aXs, Jade." He yelled. He sounded so angry and agitated. I know he probably found out about him switching sides, but he didn't have to yell at me.

I blinked back the tears as he took my hand as we stepped out the elevator. He threw the key at the front desk and we made it to the truck.
