I was sitting on the sofa with Gina. Emma and Quan were on the floor finishing a puzzle.
I grabbed ahold to my swollen belly in pain.
"You ok, Jade?" Gina asked worriedly. Quan and Emma looked up at me.
"Yeah, just kicks maybe." I rubbed my belly.
I'm now 20 weeks pregnant. Four months in my second trimester. Morning sickness is gone. Now all I basically have is cravings.
"Quan can you make me a sandwich please? Just make sure you put pickles, onions, and ketchup on it. You know what I like." I winked.
"Eww." Emma said. I laughed at her.
"Jade you just ate a 4 for $4 from Wendy's, a $5 full up from KFC and 3 whole oatmeal pies." He rolled his eyes.
"Quan I don't care I'm HUNGRY! Now please go make me a sandwich!" I screamed.
He sighed really loud and snuck over to Emma.
"If she keep yelling at me, I'm gonna spank her." Emma looked at me and laughed.
"DaQuan, what did you tell my daughter?" Gina had a smirk on her face.
"Nothing." He dragged the 'O'. He walked into the kitchen.
I pulled out my phone and got a reminder sent to my phone.
I grabbed my crutches and went over to DaQuan. He was finishing up the sandwich and he had tears in his eyes.
"Baby, what's wrong?" I put my phone on the counter.
"Nothing. These damn onions over here burning my eyes. You better be glad I love you." He slapped my arm. I punched his arm and he laughed.
"Aww. I'm sorry baby." I wiped his tears. I blew into both of his eyes and he put my sandwich in a Ziploc bag. He took it out and kissed it so dramatically. I smacked my teeth, then he put it back in the bag.
I kissed his lips, then once again just because I'm craving him.
"Oh yeah Quan. You need to take me to the hospital today so I can get this heavy ass cast off my leg." I showed him my phone. He nodded and looked away.
"Go wait by the stairs so I can dress you upstairs." He licked his lips.
"Lil nasty." I slapped his arm.
"Gina he bouta take me to the hospital to get my cast off. You and Emma wanna come with us cause we're going to hang out after?" I said.
"Yeah girl let me go get dressed." She got up and left the puzzle on the table. Emma was playing on Gina's phone.
"Come on Emma." She took the phone.
"Who the hell said we going to hang out after we go to the hospital?" Quan whispered in my ear as he closed the door to our bedroom. He put my crutches by the door and wrapped his arms around my waist.
"I said that. After they take my cast off, we going to the mall, then to the bowling alley. If you got a problem, solve it baby boy." I sat on the bed and took my shorts off.
"But did I agree on that?" He locked the door.
"You didn't have to." I rolled my eyes.
"Who the hell you rolling your eyes at? I'm the man of the house!"
"I rolled my eyes at YOU! I don't care if you are the man of the house, I wanna go have fun!" I pouted.
