You woke up, allowing yourself to greet the darkness that has consumed your room. You looked down at the boy and ran your fingers through his hair gently. The moonlight shining through the windows allowed you to see glimpses of his face.

You sat yourself up, and stared at the window. You both had fallen asleep, but you decided it wasn't best for you guys to stay here. You gently nudged Killua's body. His eyes slowly opened, when his eyesight finally adjusted, and his brain started to process his surroundings, he jolted up.

"Fuck." He mumbled.

He stood up and started walking towards the door.

"We need to go before your secret admirer shows up with a vase full of fucking tulips or something". He spoke as he adjusted his long-sleeved shirt.

"I hope he brings chocolate too."

Your witty comment earned a chuckle from Killua, as he opened the door and waited for you to step out.

Outside the door of the apartment, you both blankly stared at each other.

"Do we lock it or...? I don't have a key." You asked.

"Just leave it open, I guess." He shrugged.

The two of you walked down the dimly lit part of Yorknew, hoods on your heads, hands in your pockets. The cold breeze dancing around your skin made you shiver occasionally. You both passed shops, and cafes, and with that, Killua constantly asked if you wanted to go inside so he could buy you a coffee or a hot chocolate. You kindly declined each time, your stomach was already full. Full of despair, and maybe a dash of fear. You walked on the side of the sidewalk closer to the shops, as Killua did not allow you to be endangered in any way or form.

The two of you exchanged comments and jokes. Killua even threw awkward compliments when he had the chance. You loved his awkward compliments, they were the best.

As Killua spoke, you watched his nose crinkle as he smiled, you watched his eyes beam when he talked about something he liked. It was honestly a memorizing sight. That was until something else caught your eyes. A familiar black car was approaching oddly close to the sidewalk. You watched the car through the corner of your eye. It passed slowly, once the car was leaving, some of tension in your body began to flow out.

But that was a mistake

Just when you thought you weren't endangered, an arm extended out the car, with a gun in their hand. The gun aimed in your direction, but not exactly at you.

You felt everything around you slow down. You looked around and saw people walking in a slow motion. You looked back at Killua, and saw his mouth moving the pace of snail. Time had literally slowed down. But once you looked in front of Killua, you saw a small sharp object , millimeters away from his stomach. A bullet.

You quickly pushed Killua out of the way, his reaction was still in slow motion, so was his fall.

Once Killuas body hit the ground, everything went back to normal, nothing moved slowly anymore.

People screamed, Killua stared at you with eyes full of shock.

You quickly looked in front of you, just to see that the car was gone.

Did I imagine it? What's going on?

As people ran all over the place frantically, you realized it was all too real.

But where did the bullet go-

"(Y/N)!"

Killuas voice brought you back.

"Someone call an ambulance!" You heard other voices call.

You looked at Killua, who was looking at your stomach. You looked down, to see what he was looking at. You brought your hands up to your stomach. As you pulled them away, you saw your hands stained with a dark, red color. As you touched your stomach again, you felt pain where you were touching.

Killua was still on the ground, staring at you with disbelief. Tears formed in his eyes. But he still couldn't move.

Everything was spinning.

Spinning and spinning , everything was spinning
