I'M A GENERAL! WHEEEEEEEE!
I'm a proud member of the John Laurens Protection Committee. Well, I would be if it existed.
Why are people reading my book? It's horrible lol
Alex's P.O.V.
I got to the hospital a few minutes later, only thinking about John. As I slammed the door open and ran up to the front desk, everyone stared at me.
"I'm here to see John Laurens." I said, out of breath. The lady I was speaking to stared at me for a few seconds before shaking her head and typing on her computer.
"What's your name, and what's your relation to Mr. Laurens?" She drawled. I fidgeted and answered her.
"He's in room 420. You may go." She told me. I quickly mumbled a thank you and sprinted up the stairs to find John. Running past the endless array of doors, I finally saw his.
Please don't be dead.
That's when I saw a few people in white coats rushing in and out of room 420. They seemed to be panicking. On the verge of tears, I ran over to the doorway.
A doctor glanced at me. "I'm sorry sir, you cannot come in." He yelled something to another doctor, and they ran back into the room. I slipped in with them.
John was pale. Too pale.
His eyes were wide open, staring at the ceiling.
The heart monitor was flatlining.
No. I fell to the ground in shock. No...
John's P.O.V.
I opened my eyes to see that I was in a room. Everything was white, and there was no way out or in. My whole body hurt.
All of a sudden, I blinked and saw a... girl? She was dressed in a red jacket with a plaid skirt, knee high red and black socks, and red shoes. Her blonde hair was tied up in a red scrunchie. She also had red lipstick.
"Who are you? Where am I?" I whispered. For some reason, I wasn't able to talk in any voice above a whisper.
"I don't know where we are, and you don't need to know who I am. Just know that I am better than you." She smiled, and I could tell she's a horrible, popular person. Ew.
"Why am I here, then?" I asked. She closed her eyes for a few seconds and then opened them again.
"John. You need to wake up. Your boyfriend and friends need you." She said urgently.
"I don't know how... and it's so nice here, I don't want to leave!" I sighed in happiness. All the pain had gone away! I felt amazing.
She glared at me, and music started playing. "Are we going to have a problem?"
"No?" I was confused. Where did the music come from? Who is she?
"You got a bone to pick?" She continued. "You've come so far, why now, are you pulling on my di-"
"Stop." I cut her off. "This is really weird, and I'm going to try to wake up like you told me to." She smiled again, and she was gone in the blink of an eye. Who was she, though?
I tried to will myself out of this place, but nothing happened. I tried closing my eyes, but nothing happened. Suddenly, I felt different... I couldn't move or open my eyes.
Then I lost consciousness.
Alex's P.O.V.
Herc, Laf, Angelica, and Eliza ran into the room. Everyone looked terrified except for Eliza. She just looked bored and disappointed.
I heard a beeping sound, so I looked back up to John's dead body. He wasn't pale anymore... wait. The heart monitor wasn't flatlining anymore. It was maintaining a steady rhythm.
He's alive.
He's alive.
He's alive!
I jumped up and ran towards John as he began to wake up. He had a confused expression on his face.
"Where is she?" He asked me, trying to sit up. I gently pushed him down so that he was lying down, and wiped the tears off of my face.
"Who are you talking about? You must have been hallucinating." The rest of the Hamilsquad ran over. Everyone seemed happy that John was alive. Except for Eliza. She just glared at John. Weird.
Everyone began talking to John at once.
John's P.O.V.
I woke up. Everyone began talking to me at once.
"I thought you were dead!" Herc said. I was.
"What happened?!" Laf said. I think I was pushed out a window?
"Don't die on us again!" Angelica yelled. I'll try not to...
Eliza didn't say anything.
Eliza's P.O.V.
Why couldn't he just die? I mean, all I want is Alex! I need to step up my game. Maybe I can lure John up to the roof, and then push him off of the top of the building? No... pushing him off of a building doesn't really work.
Maybe I can tell Alex that John was cheating on him? Perfect.
John won't die, though. Hm... I guess it doesn't matter. As long as I can have my Alex to myself!
Alex's P.O.V.
The doctors said that John could go home. He just needed to rest, eat, and drink lots of fluids. He couldn't drink any alcohol, though.
The rest of the Hamilsquad had already left, so I helped John home. Somehow, he didn't have any injuries! We just started walking to our dorm together. The weather was perfect.
"Could we go to the park for a few minutes?" John asked. He couldn't talk that loud, but he was managing. I agreed.
A few minutes later, we were sitting on a random bench, cuddling together under the stars.
"Your freckles remind me of the constellations." I told him for the second time in our lives. "You are beautiful."
He laughed and hugged me. "I love when you say that. Can I have a kiss?"
"Yes." I smiled and leaned in. That's when Eliza came running up to us, out of breath.
"Alex!" She said to me. "John has been cheating on you!"
1,001 words.
I don't know why I made Eliza so evil in this book. Oops.
