Eliza's P.O.V. - Flashback
"A man who was in the house when Angelica Schuyler died claimed that you killed her. Is this true?" A woman in a blue police uniform questioned. Good thing I knew the signs of lying, and I could make up a story while avoiding doing anything that would give me away.
NOTE TO SELF - DO NOT:
-Hide your mouth or eyes,
-Clear your throat or swallow right before answering a question,
-Touch your head and/or face repeatedly,
-Shift your eyes,
-Tell your story like you've rehearsed it.
Luckily, I managed to steer clear of these actions.
"No, madam. I was sleeping, and I woke up once I heard my friend scream. I - I can't bear to think of how close I was to my sister when she was killed. I could've saved her..." I forced myself to shed a few tears, and I put a despaired expression on my face.
Right after I finished saying that, the door opened, and Alex strolled in casually. "Miss," He said to the officer calmly. "I believe the death was a suicide, I know what it looks like. Believe me. Eliza here is innocent." I couldn't believe what I was hearing. Her death was NOT a suicide. I should know, after all. Whatever. I'll go along with his story.
"R-really?" I whispered loud enough for the woman and Alex to hear. "I never saw any signs that this would happen." The woman ran her fingers through her hair before sighing. "Eliza will be free to leave for home tomorrow. She has to stay overnight."
Score!
Alex smiled. And then he bent down on one knee.
"Eliza, will you marry me?" He asked, holding out a box with a ring inside.
"Yes!!"

Alex's P.O.V.
I ran downstairs to greet my future wife. That John kid was adorable, I have to admit. Did he really think he would have a chance with me?
Once I got downstairs, I crept up behind Eliza. As I pulled her into a hug, she turned around and giggled. "Hi, Lexi!" She said flirtatiously. I kissed her, not believing that this amazing, beautiful woman was mine.
"My love, A.N. - TAKE YOUR TIME I'm so glad you're back!" I said lovingly to my sweet little angel. I love this woman so much... I'd do anything for her. She is the light of my life. She is my one true happiness.
I decided that later tonight, I would take her stargazing. Nobody would interrupt us. Then, after that, we could spend some quality time together after everyone else goes to sleep.
