XVIII. Star

When everything goes wrong,
Hold onto me
I'm just above you, always there for you
Even if you can't see me

I'll do anything for you
Even if it means losing myself
The only thing I don't want to lose is my life—
You

Don't cry now, let me dry your tears
When you're feeling weak, I'll be strong for you
When you're feeling sad, let me be your happiness
When your own sun sets, I'll be the moon that will shine for you

Even if you don't know I'm here,
I will stay at where I am now
I will never leave you although you're out of my reach
I'll keep watching you from afar

And when you smile your truest, I will leave you because you're now happy
Your smile that makes my sun rise in the middle of the dawn—
I'm glad I've witnessed it

I've stored all your good memories in my heart
So whenever you feel like drowning in your thoughts,
I'll remind you of how perfect you are to me
I'll save you from the ocean of despair

When the rain softly pours down,
I want you to know that every raindrop that drops on your soft skin,
They're all me
They're the tears I didn't regret shedding for you

If you feel like fading away, call out to the sky
I'll tell it to get all the loneliness from your soul
And when the sky turns blue above you,
I hope you're filled with nothing but happiness

When your whole world fades into gray,
Remember that I'm here above you
I'm glowing for you although it burns me
Although I'm not a part of your world

I'm a star that shines during the day
I'll keep you safe even if you can't see me
And when the sky turns black,
I'll still stay by your side
