XX. Useless

The expectant looks which are being thrown at me
Slowly become disappointed
You wanted me to be perfect
I'm sorry I couldn't be

I want to make you proud
But I keep on failing
As I try harder, I become more useless
I'm sorry I can't be the person you expect me to be

I'm sorry if I keep disappointing you
Although I try my hardest
The more I try to search for the light,
The more my world gets darker

I want to tell you all my pain
But you've already had enough
So I'll keep this all to myself
Until I still can

Are you the one who's getting farther from me?
Or is it me who's slowly fading away?
I'm holding onto you,
But my grasp slowly loosens

I want to sleep and never wake up again
I want you to close your eyes and forget about me
I'm not worth remembering,
So please erase me from your memories

Leave me 'cause I'm not worth your time
I can handle this by myself, don't you worry
Take a step farther from me, one more step away from me
Go to someone else who can make you happy
