Prologue

(f/n)=friend's name

And if I get the chance to do female!characters x male!readers later it will be through the perspective of the friend in this chapter.

It is the summer before you started your first year of college and today was starting off just as boring as most others. You had already finished working a morning shift at your place of employment and were going to a friend's place to chill. Your friend (f/n) who is a wacky sort of character and a really talented artist, said he had a surprise just for you at his house. You and your friend were both diverse people but both you and this friend were also as different as night and day sometimes. You did have one common passion in your lives though, anime. Your all-time favorite was One Piece, as it was one of the few things from your childhood that had remained for the most part intact.

Once you reached the door of your friend's home he was racing to the doorway covered in...was that peanut butter? The smell of the food that was covering his shirt was overwhelming and not long after the door opened the sound of large paws on tile could be heard. Suddenly (f/n) was tackled to the ground by his large dog as it proceeded to clean his shirt for him. You pet the dog while he kept (f/n) pinned to the ground. "Good boy." When the dog finally got off you helped (f/n) up and he brushed himself off for a second only to end up with some peanut butter on his hands.

"Do I even want to know?" you asked.

"Probably not. Come on the surprise is out back."

You followed him out to his back cement porch. "Take a look." He gestures to the ginormous chalk drawing on the ground. Somehow your stinker of a friend had created a perfect replica of the One Piece logo, where the Luffy shadow in the middle was life size.

"Whoa."

Your jaw just about hit the floor.

"This is sooooo cool!"

Jumping around in excitement with (f/n) laughing at your gleeful reaction neither of you noticed the shadow begin to move. Least that was until it somehow grabbed ahold of your ankle and sent you screaming through the letter O as the skull in the middle opened its mouth to swallow you before moving back into position. You continued to fall for a while in total darkness and had passed out along the way due to the shock of it all.

Meanwhile (f/n) stood there dumbfounded for a second before slowly walking up to the drawing. He stood over the letter O and waited. Then when nothing happened he jumped once. When nothing happened again he then proceeded to jump repeatedly muttering to himself things like "Dammit I want to go too!!," "Take me with you!!" and "Eat me!!!" until finally the Luffy shadow seemed to sigh and shrug its shoulders before doing the same to (f/n) that it had done to you. Ultimately sending him away with a joyous "Whoohoo!!!!"
