Law x Reader

A/N~ Alright guys I'm back! Sorry this chapter took so long to get to you but I was at an anime convention over the weekend hanging with my cousin who was visiting from another state. Anyways I'm having some trouble deciding on who to pair with reader in the next chapter. So if there's anyone in particular that you're hoping for just leave a message in the comments.~

The first thing you felt when you woke up was a searing pain in your arm. Looking at it you saw that it had been ripped open by a jagged stump you had landed next to. Not only was the injury large and bleeding heavily but there were likely splinters in it too.

Shit. You needed to find some help fast.

Despite the pain you were able to use a branch on your other side to pull yourself up. Examining the rainforest like area you were in you first grabbed one of the huge leaves off a tree and a broke off a vine that had been encircling it. Then you covered the injury with the leaf and wrapped the vine tightly around it in an effort to try and stem the bleeding.

After putting together your makeshift first aid you started walking, following the sound of water when you heard it. Whether it was the ocean or a stream people were more likely to be found near water.

But just as you were reaching the shoreline your vision began to blur. Not much further away you could make out something large and yellow, and before passing out you heard a familiar voice.

"Room."

~the next day~

You heard voices murmuring. As you opened your eyes they were met with a bright light and you instantly closed them again in pain before raising a hand to your face to block it out.

Too bright.

The voices from earlier then started to draw closer as you tried to slowly adjust to the light. Finally the door opened and a recognizable man in a black and yellow hoodie came into view. Your eyes widened unable to believe who you were seeing. Trafalgar Law was standing right there in front of you.

The shock of his handsome face actually being in front of you and not on a computer or TV screen was just too much. You must be dreaming right? You gave your arm a good hard pinch.

"Ouch."

Nope. Not a dream. This was really happening.

He then waved his hand in front of your face.

"Hey. Anyone in there?"

You were brought back from your thoughts.

"Oh! Sorry, um where am I?"

"You're on my submarine. Care to tell me how you messed up your arm. Since I took the time to stitch it back together and all."

You became really nervous and were sweating a little under the pressure.

Should I tell him? Would he even believe me? Oh god, he'll think I'm totally bonkers!

"Okay...Did you hit your head really hard and can't remember or something?"

"Yeah, let's just go with that."

He gave you a skeptical look but left it at that.

~2 years later~

Over time you and Law had developed a unique sort of relationship. As its doctor and captain Law took care of everyone in the crew, yourself included. However you were the only one taking care of Law in a similar fashion, especially when it concerned his health.

In other words you were there to constantly remind him that his own health was just as important. Some members of the crew were even referring to you as the captain's "conscience," "nanny," "mom," or occasionally their favorite which was "wife." The last one was the one you wished were true, but the first one pissed Law off the least. But this odd relationship had even gotten to the point where he didn't have to say anything and you would have what he needed on hand before he had a chance to so much as ask, including coffee.

Such moments included the current one as you came into his room with a mug full of coffee. He was going through the crew's medical records, trying to make sure that everything was up to date. With the number of crew members and the man's need to be as thorough as possible, he would likely be staying awake until nearly four in the morning. He said a small thanks as you put the coffee on the desk beside him.

While he wasn't looking you prepared his bed to make it easier on yourself later. No doubt he was going to fall asleep at his desk and you would have to drag his heavy ass into bed...again.

Turned out that you were right, despite the coffee he was out within an hour and you found yourself stripping off his shoes, jacket, and hat before lifting him up and dragging him to his bed. Once on the bed he was laying chest down on the mattress. Even in his sleep he gave off a feeling of immense stress, so you did something your mom used to do for you and started to rub his back slowly. As you did this he started to relax and soft snores could be heard from him. Before you got up to leave you gave him a soft peck on the forehead.

Looking at his desk you then decided to help put away the files he had already looked through, after which you went back to your sleeping captain. And at that moment you decided to take a small risk and moved in to give a small kiss on his lips. But just as your lips made contact with his you felt a strong pair of arms wrap around you and the next thing you knew you were on top of Law still kissing him. Your eyes were wide for a second before turning into a slight glare when you could finally break away at the sight of the smug look on his face.

"Well (y/n)-ya, where do you think you're going?" he purred.

"To bed so I can sleep, just like you should be doing." You stated sharply.

"Oh? But what if I can't sleep?"

"And why would that be?" you sighed.

"Because there's something I need to tell you."

Your eyebrow raised at that.

"I need to tell you thank you for always taking such good care of me, and I know it's way too soon to ask that we make the crew's favorite nickname for you a reality. But I'm going to ask anyway. Will you continue to take care of me like this, as my wife?"

The shock of the moment caused happy tears to spring to your eyes as you hugged him as tightly as you could before yelling your answer loud enough to wake the whole crew.

"YES!!!"
