"this is your idea of a date?"
hoseok grinned.
"this is a date?"
yoongi's eyes widened.
"i, uh, i mean-"
"if you want it to be a date, i'm more than okay with that," he spoke quietly, looking at the other boy fondly.
yoongi just stared at hoseok.
he really is attractive.
"c'mon, let's just go get pizza.."
the boy walked forward to the cashier, biting the inside of his cheek to keep from smiling. he paid the lady seven bucks with tax and waited for hoseok behind him.
"so, you just grab a tray and plate and take all the pizza you want?"
the blonde smiled. "yup. it's a great buffet. and there's a little arcade here. we can play games afterwards!"
yoongi couldn't help but smile at how excited he sounded.
he grabbed three pieces of pizza and some lemonade, and then headed for a table in the back.
he sat down and waited for hoseok, just staring at the food in front of him as he did so.
he hadn't ate a proper meal in a while.
"look at all this food!" hoseok exclaimed with a smile on his face, his small plate overflowing with pizza. he also had a separate plate that had brownies on them.
"the white stuff on the brownies looks like fucking cocaine," yoongi muttered, taking a sip of his drink.
the blonde laughed loudly. "maybe if i'm lucky it is," he joked.
he took a bite and hummed for a few seconds.
"nope. it isn't. it sure is good though."
yoongi laughed, and for the first time in a long time
he felt good.
"you're stupid."
"and you have a cute laugh," hoseok responded, pointing his finger at the boy. "now eat up, you could use some meat on those bones."
even though he was hesitant, yoongi picked up the slice of pepperoni pizza and ate it.
and goddamn did it feel good.
he ate and ate, and even though he would regret it later, he decided to not care and just enjoy the moment.
after they had been eating for a while, hoseok started hitting the table as if it was a drum set.
"alright! now that we have eaten, we now have to do the most important thing at this place!"
"and what exactly is that?" yoongi asked with a raised eyebrow.
"air hockey."
hoseok got out of his chair with a smile, and grabbed yoongi's arm, dragging him with him.
"c'mon you slow poke."
"aish, i just ate a fuck ton, cut me some slack," he responded, a small smile on his face.
thankfully, hoseok grabbed his arm that wasn't damaged.
the two of them walked to the arcade area full of different games and mainly had little kids, but also some teenagers, around.
they headed to the back where, thankfully, the air hockey table was free.
hoseok put three quarters into the machine and went to his side, waiting for the puck to show up.
once he got it, they started to play and needless to say, it was intense.
"how the hell are you so good?"
"when i want to win something, i get really serious," he replied quietly, focusing on the neon green hockey puck moving across the surface.
each time hoseok would score, he would let out a loud "woo!" and a laugh afterwards.
when yoongi would score, he would just get a small smile, finding it cute each time hoseok whined about it.
in the end, yoongi won, and he wore a proud smile, something the other boy found cute.
"you're the first person to ever beat me in this, i hope you feel honored."
"of course i do, i beat the one and only jung hoseok," he joked.
the blonde laughed.
the two boys left the arcade together and headed for the exit.
"so, do you consider this a date?" hoseok asked quietly as they were outside, the cool night air hitting their skin.
he really hoped it was.
"hmmm...." the boy held out.
he stopped in his tracks and faced hoseok, who looked...
stunning, somehow.
"yes."
