LOKI'S POINT OF VIEW

"What?" I turned in disbelief, frowning, could this be? Of all the places and all the things..

A human child stood behind me, how dare she! To me! There are not many who are able to sneak up on me, but it was one of them.

"Hi!" She spoke, her green eyes glistening in the moonlight. She had raven black hair, her skin so pale and she had no fear of me whatsoever, I was interested, "You're him aren't you?"

I bent my head thoughtfully, holding my hands behind my back and morphing my outfit to my usual sleek attire. Who did this worthless earthling think I was? But that voice, it was the same. But it couldn't be!

"You know who I am?" I asked, slowly raising my head to look at the child, my stare didn't threaten her an inch.

"Sure!" She laughed, "you're the man I see in my head, like a vision, I'm Ayesha, pleased to meet you!" The human raised her arm as a feeble attempt for me to shake it. Her voice, it was the same as the one in my head, but how was that possible? And she saw a vision of me?

That's impossible.... For a human....

I gruffly ignored her gesture and shoved the child out of my way. I glanced out of interest, I wanted to obeserve her reaction to my actions, however she seemed to not think anything of it and skipped over like the stupid child she was to a swing.

Shocked at her behaviour, I approached, intent on finding out about this strange earthling.

"I've been waiting a long time for you," the child gurgled playfully, looking up at my frowning countenance.

"As have I," I replied, she must have been the one I had spent time searching for. "What is a primitive human like you doing, out in a place such as this. At night?"

The child gazed down, however I could see in her eyes the same hate and jealousy mixed with heartache and loneliness, as I did when I was a child living on Asgard always having to take second place to Thor, and having to live with never having a true relationship with my 'father.'

"I do what I want," she replied, "It's not as if anyone will care."

"What about your family?"

"I don't have it," she shrugged, her life building building a similarity to my own, "I'm adopted. They say they love me, they don't really, I know I get in their way all the time. They all treat me differently, other than my -"

"Mother?" I cut her short, predicting her next word perfectly. I knew what she was going through.

"What did you say your name was?" I asked, trying to start afresh.

"Ayesha?" She smiled, "what about you?"

Shouldn't she have known that at least? It was her who called me! But then the sudden realisation hit me, something bigger was pulling us together, her soul sent out the message for me to follow and every time I received it, she saw a vision of myself.

"Loki," I declared proudly, smiling proudly, "Of Asgard."

"Wow!" The child was in awe, her mouth wide open, "That's such a beautiful name!"

I cocked my head, grinning, appreciating the compliment like a gentleman, "Thank you..... And may I ask how old are you?"

"Eleven," she piped imedialty, "but I'll be twelve next month!"

She was so young to have any powers, strength and knowledge of the world, but yet here she was.

"Ayesha!" A woman cried. I quickly disappeared from human perception still remaining near the earthling.

The woman was of normal human height, much shorter than I, but had the same motherly love in her that I observe often in Frigga. "Ayesha,

It's time to come inside, I told you not to stay out so late!"

"But mother," Ayesha tried to explain, "I was talking with Loki!"

The human mother was puzzled, she didn't possess the intelligence of magic or understand any such possibility, she instead sighed and encouraged the child off the swing, "Loki?" She said with a smile, "Is that your imaginary friends name?"

I grimaced at the suggestion, how dare that mewling quim call me Loki, a King, imaginary? But at last, I had found her, the person who owned the voice who it turned out was looking for me too... But who was she and why was Ayesha so special?
