Nice... Dinner?

     I slid to a stop in the Star Labs Cortex, I had just gotten back from my appearance at the Flash day parade. Flash day is a holiday that was created about a year ago after I had defeated zoom and saved the multiverse. Basically it is just a holiday where people thank me for the work that I do. I am not very self absorbed and if I had the choice would have never let the holiday be created. Unfortunately it exists and there is not much I can do about it so the least I can do is show up so that they can thank me in person. "Alright Cisco I am gonna go get ready for my date with Iris." I said as I just finished changing into my regular clothes with super speed. "Dude your date isn't for another hour." Cisco said as he looked up at me from his computer. "Yeah?" I asked him confusingly. "And you have super speed!" He continued. "Yeah but I want to be ready. Plus I still need to make reservations, shower, pick out the right outfit- and by the way it there anything in my teeth? " I asked him with a scattered tone. Cisco just laughed and said, "Dude you are like a girl when it comes to getting ready. You look great right now dude you're good." I just smiled and looked at the floor. "So are you sure you can handle any meta-humans that may attack?" I asked him. "You betcha. I got you boi." Cisco was a meta-human who can vibe. Which basically means he can open breaches to different earths and hit people with vibrations. 

     I was about to run to my apartment when Cisco said. "You know if I had super speed and I was going on a date, I would probably play video games all day! And then get dressed into jeans and a T shirt in the last five minutes before a date. Who needs to shower and wear cologne?" I chuckled a little. "Well that's the difference between you and me Cisco. Who knows, maybe that's why I get the amazing girls like Iris and you don't." I quickly said and then ran to my apartment so that Cisco wouldn't be able to get me back.

     Okay so do I wear the black tux or the dark blue tux? Or maybe no tux and just jeans and a T shirt like Cisco said??? I don't know what to do! The date with Iris is in 30 minutes! At least I have the reservations made so that's good. Okay I'll just go and take my shower. (2 minutes later) Okay my shower is taken and now I need to pick and outfit. Uuuummmmm I'll go with the dark blue tux. (2 seconds later) Okay I am ready to go, now I just need to run myself over there before Iris gets there. I hope she isn't there waiting for me already.

     I stood there waiting for Iris for about 5 minutes before I saw her. She looked absolutely stunning! No beyond stunning! The way she looked escaped definition! Her hair was almost all up in a bun curled perfectly  but she still had some bangs hanging down her face. She was wearing a dark blue dress that was about knee length and had a spaghetti strap. She wore a little bit of makeup and her smile shined brighter than the sun as usual. I was so happy and grateful that she was my girlfriend. 

     "You look absolutely beautiful!" I told her. She blushed and looked at the ground which made me smile. She was just so cute. "Thank you! You look positively handsome!" She said as she looked up at me. I smiled and took her hand. "Should we go find our table?" She smiled and said "We shall!" 

     Our server showed us to our table and gave us menus. We both picked up our menus and read them over. Me being the fastest man alive, it only took me a second or two. So I had to wait for Iris to finish. "So are you planning on selling your apartment and moving back in with my dad?" Iris spoke up as she read the menu. I was confused and just looked at her. "This place... it's expensive." She whispered. I shook my head and leaned toward her. "No no, don't worry about the prices just get whatever you want." I said with a smile. She smiled back and kept reading her menu.
