Iris' P.O.V

*beep beep bee-SMACK* Uhhhhhgggg. I do not want to get out of bed today! What do I even have planned for today? Maybe I don't have to get out of bed at all. Hmmmmmm, I have those papers that Linda gave me to go through. What else? Oh I have a date with Barry in the afternoon. That means I need to get dressed and brush my teeth. Ugh I need to put on pants today! It's only eight thirty, five more minutes! (5 minutes later) Okay, now I really need to get out of bed. One... two...three... go!! Okay, that wasn't so bad! It's a little cold but I should be good. I'll get dressed and then get some breakfast.

Once I had gotten dressed and eaten breakfast I plopped down onto my couch with my pile of papers. Before I looked at the papers I checked my phone for any notifications I had gotten while I was asleep.(like usual)I had some Instagram notifications, a few Facebook notifications, a text from Barry that said: Can't wait to see you today! :), and a text from the same anonymous number saying random digits and symbols. When will this guys quit? I wondered. I swiped it away and plugged my phone into the charger. Now to start on this paperwork. I grabbed my note pad, a pen, and got to work.

It was almost the same as the other piles but it was a little different. These files had very detailed information on each member of the Five Ferocious Fighters; it even went down to their favorite colors. Who blessed me with this? I was taking down each piece of important information about each person because I thought it would be cool to give a small back story on each member. It also had a history of everything they have stolen and who they have gotten rid of. I noticed that each page had a random letter written in the top right hand corner. That's weird. I had just finished and saw that the last paper (they were double sided) had an exclamation point on it instead of a letter. My eyebrows scrunched together. Is someone sending me a message? I laid the papers on the floor and looked at them from the couch. W-K-E-N-O-W-H-W-O-O-U-Y-R-A-E-! What does that- wait! I rearranged the letters to find out that they spelled: WE KNOW WHO YOU ARE! My eyes grew wide with panic! I stood up and tried to back away from the paper. Who knows who I am? Why do they care? Does this have something to do with the texts I've been getting? Why didn't I just listen to Barry? In my frantic thoughts I ran into my coffee table and fell on the floor. I opened my mouth to let out a yelp when I heard a knock on the door.

I was frozen with fear for a moment. When I was able to move I quickly grabbed all of the papers and shoved them into my trash can. I threw my bag with all my notes and other papers into my bedroom (from across the house mind you) and went to the door. My hands were shaky as I twisted the knob. I was afraid that it was going to be whoever wrote those papers here to hurt me. I had my phone in hand ready to push the panic button and opened the door. "Barry!" I said with a relived smile. Before he could answer I ran into his arms. I felt safe and loved in his arms. Barry give great hugs. "Hi Iris." Barry said a little shocked but he quickly accepted it and wrapped me even more into his loving arms. "I love you!" I said into his chest. I could hear his steady calming heartbeat. "I love you to!" He lovingly said as he kissed my forehead. I looked up at him and looked into his beautiful loving green eyes. "You okay? You seem a little shaky?" He said. Concern was written all over his face as he searched mine. "Yeah, I-" I so badly wanted to tell him about this story. How I wished I could have him fix my phone and my laptop. How desperate I was to tell him about the scary note written on those file.  I wanted to tell him everything! If I did that then it would be the end of this story, I am so close! But Is it worth it? I was fighting back tears at this point. Barry was still looking at me, his eyes flooded with concern. "I just really needed you. Work is, crazy." I felt good about that answer, it was all true. "You sure? You know you can tell me anything." He put his hand to my face and started rubbing my check with his thumb. That put me over the edge. It was just a few words but they were so powerful. I wish I could tell him anything. Maybe that's why he is pushing me away. Because he thinks I don't trust him. I do trust him! I just wish he could trust me with this story. A single tear fell down my face. "Thank you Barry. That's just what I needed to hear!" I said warmly. He smiled a doubtful smiled and his eyes were still filled with concern but he nodded his head anyway. "Come in!" I said as I wiped away the tear and ushered him inside.

We both sat down on my couch and smiled at each other. Being around Barry made all of my other worries seem like nothing. I felt safe and loved. I looked at him and asked,"So what have you been up to lately?" He leaned back a little and said, "Well a few cases at the CCPD, I stopped a few robberies and remember that plant you had with you yesterday? Well I can't really return it to you..." I had totally forgotten about that plant! "Oh yes! It just showed up so it's no big deal." There was a small pause and then I slyly asked, "What did you do to it?" He leaned away a little and said, "What did I do to it? You should be asking what it did to me!" I laughed a little. "Okay what happened?" He let out a sigh and said, "Well it grew to a massive size and tried to kill me and Cisco." My mouth fell open. "Oh my goodness! I am so sorry!" He swatted the air. "No it's okay it wasn't your fault. Caitlin helped us defeat it." I nodded my head. "And besides I am glad it was with me and not you because it was bad. I wouldn't know what to do with myself if I had known you had gotten hurt. " He held my hand. "Or worse." He finished. I laughed a little. "What you don't think I can handle myself?" He rolled his head around and said. "It's not that!" I raised my eyebrows and smiled. "Then what is it?" He smiled, I could tell he was searching for something to say. "I just want to be there for you. I feel like I need to protect you because I love you! I don't want anything bad to happen to you! With what happened to my mom and dad I want to make sure you are and feel safe all the time." I smiled at him sweetly and held his other hand. "And that, Barry Allen, is one of the reasons I love you so much!" I leaned in and our lips connected perfectly. It was like a thousand fireworks went off and they were all covered in chocolate.

When we pulled away we were both smiling. "I love you too Iris West-Allen." I raised one eyebrow. West-Allen? We aren't married Barry... yet. "I mean West. Iris West!" I just smiled and lightly laughed. I got off of the couch and walked across the room to the blanket bin. "What are you doing?" He asked. I turned around and threw a blanket at him. He was to slow to catch it in time. "Netflix and chill?" I said. He smiled and warmly said. "Absolutely!" I sat down on the couch and snuggled into him. He wrapped his arm around me and I played Barry's favorite musical, "Singing in the Rain". Before I knew it I had fallen asleep to the soft sweet sound of Barry's heart beat. "Iris I love th- Iris?" Barry asked as he looked down at my sleeping body. He smiled warmly and kissed my forehead. "I love you Iris West-Allen" He whispered.

So did you like it? I wanted to make the chapter about Barry and Iris' CUTE relationship! I LOVE it but I don't know what you think. I might have made Iris more like me in this chapter but I thought it would be cute if she ran to Barry for help because she was scared. I love it. They need each other<3<3<3<3<3<3<3
