Chapter 7 : The Man With The Gun [Part 1]

He kicks me to the floor, I try to get up, but he kicks me in my stomach I fall back down barely breathing. I manage to get up, I run to my front door, but it's locked I look at the keyhole and the keys are missing.

He shouts "Looking for these".

I turn around to see my keys in his giant hands. He closes his hands around my keys and puts them in his pocket. I run up my stairs and into my room to get the Ak of the floor, but it's gone, I hear him coming up the stairs I grab my purse and pull out the knife. I hide behind my bedroom door to surprise attack him. He enters my room and I jump on him and stab him in the shoulder, but he grabs me and throws me to the floor, he gets down on his knees and wraps his hands around my throat I struggle to breathe but I get the strength to pull out the knife from his shoulder and stab him in the neck. He falls down to the ground, blood pouring from the hole in his neck, he tries to get up, but he's too weak, I stab him again in the stomach just to make sure he dies. His eyes close and his pulse stops, I stab him in the head so he doesn't turn into a biter, I check all his pockets to get my keys and inside his jacket pocket, I find a note.

'Kill Alex Hudges - From Mitch aka The Boss'.

I run to Alex's house covered in blood holding the note I knock on his door and he opens up and drags me inside.

"What the hell Lola!" He says angrily.

"A man snuck into my house tried to kill me, I found this note" I give him the note and he throws it on the floor.

"Damn, They've found us"

I ask him who they were but he ignores me. Then he grabs me and tells me about the people.

"They call themselves The Innocents, but to me they're not innocent, they try and scare people they take weapons and food from people they think they rule the world"

He sits down and starts to cry, I comfort him and he doesn't stop crying.

"It's over we've lost all this for nothing, there's no point in fighting their too strong"

I pull him and slap him.

"Shape yourself if everyone else in Whitefield is strong enough so are you now get your gun and we're going down to the courtyard for a meeting with everyone". We walk down his path and enter the courtyard

"Everyone in the courtyard!" Alex screams. He stands on what seems to be a podium.

"A man attacked Lola tonight he was from The Innocents, he tried to kill her, but luckily Lola got the advantage and killed him, they're coming for us eventually, so we need to put rules in place from now on the no weapons policy has been cancelled we need everyone armed in case they attack. If you have to get weapons out of the armoury, but please don't arm children, that's not safe for anyone if you want anything come to me or Lola. Thank you!"

I stare at him, he stares down at me, I was confused as to why he trusted me so much. He steps off his podium and comes towards me and gives me a hug and I hug him back.

"So what do you think about being a co-leader?"

I stare at him in shock and my minds just all messed up I ask him if he's being serious he says yes and I agree to be co-leader. I walk to my house and enter to see a pile of blood and the body on my floor in my bedroom. There's a knock on my door and it's a man I've never seen before.

"So I believe there's a dead guy in here"

I tell him yes and that he's in my bedroom. The man runs upstairs and grabs the body and puts it over his shoulders.

"So I will see you later Lola, my name is Junior by the way"

I wave goodbye to Junior and shut my door, I walk upstairs and get my guns and machete. I put my Glock in its holster and the machete in its holster I throw the AR15 around my back and clean the blood off the floor. I leave my house and meet up with Piper.

"So Lola got a promotion huh" We both start to laugh

"Major Promotion," I say confidently.

We both start walking toward the warehouse and I feel a hand on my back, I tilt my head to the side to see Junior.

"Hey Lola, Hey Piper is it ok if I walk with you?"

I nod and we go to walk into the warehouse and a car comes speeding through the main gate and 3 trucks pull up with men jumping out 20 out of each. The men come to the broken down gate and a man in army clothing comes towards the front of the crowd.

"Ok, so either give me Alex or you can all die your choice"

Everyone hides and I'm left out in the open the man points to me.

"You come here NOW!"

I slowly make my way towards him dropping all my weapons and making sure Piper and Junior get them.

"So aren't you a lovely lady, do you have a lovely name for the lovely face?"

I stare at him in disgust and he just smiles.

"My names Lola Hopkins and you are?"

He walks up to me and holds my shoulder and kisses my cheek.

"My Names Mitch and I'm the leader of The Innocents even though we are not innocent in any way also were taking all your stuff"

I try and look through the crowd of people to see how many they were and that's when I saw a few of the men from Whitefield sneaking up behind them

.Bang. Bang. Bang.

The Innocents drop to the ground, but before we knew it Mitch climbed back into one of the trucks and some of his men got away as well.

We didn't lose a lot of men but we still lost some but now we have the advantage their weak their still in shock so that's why we attack first thing tomorrow...
