Chapter 18: The Return

We all stand in silence listening to tears dropping on the floor and we watch as the tear sinks into the soil.

"I'm sor-" I try to say but Piper interrupts me.

"Why should you be sorry?" Piper says to me as more tears escape her eyes.

I don't say anything back because I don't want to upset her anymore than she is. I watch as she walks up to me.

Slap

I feel a hand collide with my face and I'm shocked. I get pushed down into the dirt.

"I said why are you sorry?!" She shouts looking down at me.

"I'm sorry because you've lost Junior what do you expect me to say!" I shout back causing an argument.

"Well, he wouldn't be dead if it wasn't for you!" She shouts pointing her finger in my face."He didn't have to go on a supply run but you made him !"

"Piper, no I didn't he told me he wanted to come so we all can survive!"

"Well you should've said no"

"How was I supposed to know what was going to happen?!"I shout pulling myself out of the dirt.

I stand up but Piper kicks me in the gut making me lose my breath.

"Nobody said you could get up bitch !" Piper shouts pushing her foot down on my stomach.

"I didn't kill Junior you did he only wanted to go out because of you!"

"What's that supposed to mean!" She says taking her foot of my stomach.

"He showed me the list of things you wanted let's read it out shall we!" I say getting up from the dirt.

Piper tries to kick me again but I push her down this time.

"Ok item number one... Some cereal... Ok starting off ok"

I make my way through the list of supplies until I reach the end.

"Everything's ok with that nothing wrong with that, that's all the things Junior wanted!" She says pulling herself out of the dirt.

"Oh is it what about this little letter here?" I say acting really bitchy.

"Dear Junior, I love you so much but it's time to find out for real if you can just grab me a 'Pregnancy test' from any drug store it will mean a lot also I've found one and it's positive but I will have to make sure"

Everyone stares at Piper.

"So what because I wanted a pregnancy test it's my fault he's dead?" She says looking down and destroyed.

"You blamed me I blame you," I say making her realize her mistakes.

"Lola I'm ..." She try's to apologize but I ignore her.

I walk away as the rain starts falling heavy what a couple of days.

I walk to my house and see Alex inside asleep. I take off my clothes and I lie down with him. I wrap my arms around and squeeze him getting warm off his body heat and before I know it I'm asleep.

**Emily's POV**

I follow the strange man to Whitefield Alivia and Alexia following just behind me.

"Are we almost there yet?" I say sounding like a five-year-old child

"It's going to take us about a day to get there at this rate" The mystery man says

"We best set up a camp here it's too dark to see where we're going" He says while grabbing wood.

We all sit around the fire telling each other scary stories and telling our life stories but it comes to a sudden end when we hear the moans of biters.

We all stand up getting ready to fight the biters. I pull my katana from my back and I chop threw heads and bodies making sure they don't get near us. I look over as Alexia and Alivia are killing biters but the man isn't doing anything.

"Hey dude help!" I shout trying to get his attention.

A biter walks up to him and before I know it he pulls out two claw like knifes and starts chopping up biters.

I stare at him amused as he takes down biters like he was trained to do this but all of a sudden I get pushed down by a biter. I try to lift the biter of me with one but it's hard. I push the biter up with my other arm this would be so much easier if I hand both hands.

I stare at my katana but I can't get it. I try to use my arm to hold it up and my arm to get the sword but it doesn't work it's too far away.

"Anyone gonna help me!" I shout.

Alivia runs up to me and grabs my katana she stabs it through the biters head. I feel the blade slice into my cheek as she pushes it further into its head.

"Ahhh!" I scream making her pull the blade out.

"I'm sorry"She says tearing up

"It's fine" I say getting back up from the crowd.

She passes me my katana and I struggle to use it but I've got control of it. I slice through biters until all of them are dead.

I turn around and see everyone sat down resting after our fight. I wipe the blood from my cut. I'm lucky it didn't go that deep or I could've been dead.

"So where were we?" Alexia says

"I've forgotten to ask you, what's your name?" I say to the mystery man.

"Well, my name is Jordan," He says seriously.

"Well you know who we are, so what's your story?" Alivia says being nosey.

"Well it starts back--"

"Honestly we don't care," I say trying to get some sleep.

Jordan looks at me in a disappointed way. He places his head down on the ground.

Alivia and Alexia keep watch and then me and Jordan will swap over making sure we don't get surprised attacked.

"Goodnight everyone," Jordan says.

Can Emily trust Jordan?
