Your dead shall live; their bodies shall rise. You who dwell in the dust, awake and sing for joy! For your dew is a dew of light, and the earth will give birth to the dead. Come, my people, enter your chambers, and shut your doors behind you; hide yourselves for a little while until the fury has passed by.

Isaiah 26:19-20

Bang

The little girl pulls the trigger and the bullet misses me and Junior by a mile off. I snatch the gun out of the girls' hands and she runs upstairs crying, why is every trying to shoot us?

"What the hell was that!" Shouts the woman operating on Abbie.

"Ermm your daughter tried to shoot us!" Junior shouts back.

"One minute I'll be out soon to deal with it!"

Me and Junior sit down on a red couch waiting for any sort of news about Abbie. I admire the chair as the gold lining on the legs catches my attention. I wonder to myself if these people are rich or were rich because money means nothing anymore.

"Ok all done, she's stable" The woman says as she leaves the room.

"Fantastic, that's great when can we leave?" I say, trying to get out of here as fast as I can.

"Oh no she won't be able to walk for another 2 or 3 days you will have to stay here, but we have a spare bedroom and food that you can have," The woman says as she hands us both a bottle of water.

"Thank you," Junior says confusingly

The woman shows us to our room and me and Junior sit down on the blue velvet bed.

"Listen you stupid, don't go round shooting strangers you're not a bandit and where did you even get that gun from?" The woman shouts from the other room telling her daughter about the incident downstairs.

They carry on screaming at each other but me and Junior just ignore them until we hear banging on the door. The woman and daughter carry on screaming at each other. I walk out my room and look down at the door, there's a man standing there. I walk across to the other room where the mother and daughter are arguing with each other.

"Shut up!" I shout to them "Someone's at the door"

They both stop shouting and come out of the room another door opens behind me and two men walk out.

"Oh, these are my two sons by the way" The woman whispers, trying to make sure the man doesn't hear us.

The door carries on banging and then it suddenly stops. We all look at each other and look at the door the men are gone. I sneak downstairs just in case he still outside somewhere. As I reach the bottom of the stairs, I duck down underneath the window and slowly make my way to Abbie I reach the door and open it slowly making sure it makes no noise.

"Is everything safe down there?" Junior says from the top of the stairs.

"Not sure yet just be quiet," I say just loud enough so he can hear me.

I walk into the room where Abbie is lying in bed. I poke her to try and wake her up, but she doesn't wake up.
