Yet Another Rant

Am I the only one who gets really annoyed when someone doesn't give a straight answer to my questions? Probably...

Well, anyways, I just really get annoyed when people give these very vague answers to really simple questions.

Take for example, "Where are you?"
Everyone knows how hard it is to spot someone in a giant crowd. But if you give an answer like, "go right" or "to your left," that kinda bothers me. Like, if you want me to find you, please give better answers than that. Maybe something like, "Oh, I'm next to the bathroom near the entrance," or something. It's even harder when you're looking around and someone sends you those "left, right" messages. It's like, "Umm, left of where I'm looking at now, or a couple seconds ago?"

And then there are the really vague answers when you're asking someone about, say, a swimsuit. And you know that the person is on the swim team, so you think it's probably for that.

"I need a swimsuit."
"Why?"
"I'm on the swim team."

Yeah, I know you're on the swim team, but shouldn't you already have one, then? Like, is it too much to clarify that you need a new one, or something? It's answers like those that really bother me because it's pretty much telling you, "Here's my answer, now read my mind."

But for some people, that's exactly how they think. They want others to understand them and know how they feel, but they don't even do anything to let others do that. No signs, no hints, nothing. As soon as a person makes a wrong step, boom. Lots of yelling about how they "don't understand" and "don't care." It's not the person's fault if the other doesn't make an effort to get them to.

Seriously...why can't people just give a simple answer to a simple question?
