Piercing words and painful bearing,
A nailed wrists and excruciating feeling,
A cross designed for punishment, now a symbol of love and forgiveness.
You suffered for my sin, you had a choice but you chose me.
A man can only take so little, but you, you took it all and left nothing for mourning.
My vindictive nature must be disciplined,
My transgressions must be punished,
However, you suffered for me.
I wonder why you’d take it all.
I wonder why you’d give it all.
Who are you, why did you come?
What love is this, that you would give your life for me?

I sing to you a praise of worship for You have given me life.
You laid your life for me in the Calvary a thousand years ago. I wasn’t born back then. But you knew I’d be lost and so you did the best that you can to save me. Why, Lord? I don’t understand you at all. Why am I so important to you?
I am hard-headed, selfish, arrogant, conceited, mean and hateful but you didn’t care.
In truth, I don’t deserve all of it. I am a sinner and a fool. I cursed you once and detested you, God. I hated you because I thought that you were the one plaguing me. But I was wrong. My deceitful ways made me miserable. Yet despite my stubbornness: you waited, you whispered and you called.
Knowing you suffered for me made me realized how wrong I was.
Thank you so much Lord for loving me, flaws and all.
