Chapter 5: Hopeful Heart

I cried as I stare at the heavens,

My God, why are you forsaking me?

My life, my choices and the decisions I make do not make sense anymore.

Come, heal me or I'll perish forever!
I tried so hard to cover the pain but it doesn't fade away. I want to know if you still care.

Lead me Lord and I shall follow you.

It was morning. A new day to smile and be merry. I saw the birds flying and I could hear them chirping. The sunlight was warm and comforting. I prayed and asked God to strenghthen me. I know that this was just the beginning of a heart-rending journey.

I want to trust you because I want to be healed. I know it's not easy but I'll do my best anyway. I am hopeful, God. Always. I may not feel it yet, but I know you're working. Although I ask that you do not forsake me or leave me because I don't want to be lost again. I tried once leaving you and my life didn't end well. 

Please always be close to me so I may find happiness even in my deepest misery. Don't let my heart be troubled or my faith fail. 

I am scared but I will trust in you. I want to be close to you as possible. 

Isn't it funny? How much this prideful heart cost me my life? Yet here I am, begging and still hoping that you would forgive me. All I wanted was to be happy but my ambition brought me to sorrow. 

I want to be happy, Lord. I don't want to feel miserable anymore. Please show me the way. I am hoping, Lord. Always hoping that someday your light will show me the way.

MESSAGE:

Be still and trust God always. You may question mishap but always remember that God has a plan and He will not forsake you. Be patient. Never lose hope and have faith always!
