My darkest moment...

Is this a part of your plan?

Give me all the good stuffs and then snatch it away just like that?

They didn't even let me explain! They ripped me naked, humiliated me gravely and accused me without further investigation!

I was innocent!

You said, you would never leave me! I thought you'd make me happy!

Well, congratulations! Because I'm miserable and I'm super glad right now!

***

I cursed the heavens the moment I lost everything. I was clearly not thinking. I knew it was wrong and the shame is all mine.

But I want to obey you, Lord. Please change my heart and help me change my ways.

***

I don't know if you can hear me or if you're even there,

I am but a sinner, so why would you even care?

Compared to your ominous glory, I will never stand a chance,

I am but a mere human, I am nothing of importance.

But if you can hear me and if you're watching now,

I ask that you forgive me about the bad things that I'd done.

Please lighten up this burden that bound me for so long,

Tell me Lord "I'm safe" and that in your arms I belong.

Please don't you ever leave me, this to you I pray.

Please always be close, please guide me everyday.

I want to follow you, please help me change my ways.

You are mine and I'm yours, In your heart I want to stay.

AMEN.

“Radical obedience to Christ is not easy… It’s not comfort, not health, not wealth, and not prosperity in this world. Radical obedience to Christ risks losing all these things. But in the end, such risk finds its reward in Christ. And he is more than enough for us.”―David Platt, Radical: Taking Back Your Faith from the American Dream

RELATED VERSES:

1 Peter 4:12-13--Dear friends, do not be surprised at the painful trial you are suffering, as though something strange were happening to you. But rejoice that you participate in the sufferings of Christ, so that you may be overjoyed when his glory is revealed.

1 Peter 1:7--"These trials will show that your faith is genuine. It is being tested as fire tests and purifies gold--though your faith is far more precious than mere gold. So when your faith remains strong through many trials, it will bring you much praise and glory and honor on the day when Jesus Christ is revealed to the whole world."

2 Corinthians 5:17--Therefore if any man is in Christ, he is a new creature; the old things passed away; behold, new things have come.

Romans 12:2--And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect.
