What is this?

I feel so terrible.

My heart is pounding triple time. I can feel its horrifying aura close to me.

It's surrounding me...

My body is shivering uncontrollably. I can't seem to find the light.

Darkness is everywhere!

Jesus, if you can hear me, please help me!

Please protect me and bind me close to your arms.

If you leave me now, I'm not strong enough to move on.

If you leave me now, I'm sure to get lost.

So, cover me and heal this broken heart.

Lift thy sadness, don't let darkness overrule.

You are the light of my life. You're the only reason I breathe.

I woke up and I felt its dark forces surrounding me. My body weakened, a strange cold shivered down my spine. It was indeed horrifying. I didn't know how it started. The last thing I did before I went to sleep was read the Bible. After three hours, I woke up and its there! Stroking me, taunting me!

I got up to see if anybody was there but I was alone in my room. I saw the light flickering on and off. I walked by the switch and clicked it up and down. My feet was so heavy. I saw no one but I can feel its hands immobiling me.

I shouted at the top of my voice, "What do you want from me?!"

A strange laugh echoed. I felt my hair standing at the back of my neck. It was terrifying.

"Where are you, Lord?" I asked.

I sensed its dark aura surrounding me. I prayed the Lord's prayer but evil voices mimicked me. They laughed and mocked me. The wind was so cold, I could feel my whole body trembling.

"Your God is dead! You belong to us!" they said.

I cried. "You lie! My God is alive and He will rescue me!" I insisted.

A large demon grabbed my neck. I couldn't breathe. I felt its hands piercing through. I was choking. He laughed even more.

"You fool! You are not that important to Him! He left you and now we are here!" he chuckled loudly. I heard other horrifying voices agreeing.

Tears fell as the devil threw me brutally to the ground. There was darkness everywhere. Their red eyes were piercing through my heart. I felt  small needles penetrating me. I tried to rebuke them but I couldn't find my voice. They burst out laughing. I felt so helpless.

Two demons approached me and tortured me. I cried for help.  I couldn't move, I couldn't even defend myself.

"You think your God is greater than us?! That pathetic loser stays up in heaven because He's scared of us! We rule the earth and we own everything in it! Including you!!" they said.

Surprisingly, upon hearing the devil's proclamation, I found the strength to get up. My hands rolled into fist.

"You do not own me!" I shouted. They chuckled and kicked me so hard that I fell instantly on the ground. My vision was blurry but I can hear their insults about God.

I prayed once more.

"Lord, I believe in you even when you are silent. I will never lose faith, I will never lose hope. For I am your child and You are my Father. Your power endures forever! And no evil shall escape your wrath. Amen."

A bright light illuminated from above. The moment it touched my face, I felt God's love and grace protecting me, covering me. It was very overwhelming, very comforting. I closed my eyes. I heard screams and cussing. Then I saw the large demon begging to spare his life, but as the light touched him, he disintegrated and was no more.

I was safe but I was afraid that the devil will do something like this again. I prayed then a gentle voice spoke to me, "Be still and know that I am God."

Lord, I thank you for this new day!

It was a terrible nightmare but you delivered me from my enemies. Thank you for not letting me go and for giving me the courage to fight back. You showed the devil who's boss. I am aware now that satan will always try to disappoint me in any way but I will never falter and I will never lose faith.

You are my provider and my shelter. I will praise you my God and Your Son Jesus.

Thank you Lord for everything!
