Chapter 1: The Lost Soul

Do you hear me, Lord?

Are you listening?

Do you feel my pain, are you even there?

Why does it seem like you're not there? 

Why does it seem like I'm alone? 

I'm falling...

Falling deeply into the abyss of dejection and regret...

I can't take the pain anymore... 

I can't take it anymore...

When I was young, I used to call on you. I used to pray and tell you everything. I used to ask you simple questions like:

When will I see dad (when he's on travel) or why is my mom happy (when everything seems right)? 

But as I grew older, my questions became complicated...

Why am I here Lord? What is my purpose in life? Why am I suffering?

I know you have all the answers. And I know that for so long, you have been trying to show me the way. But I was arrogant and selfish. I never listened, I never tried to find you. 

And when I finally find you, my heart with so little faith... when troubles come, everything disappears. I'm back to my old self again. 

Sometimes I don't understand, why everything seemed so grey? 

I'm lost... 

Will I ever find my way back to you?

Will I ever find the happiness and contentment that I always seek? 

Will I ever be happy again? Just like a child... joyful, even without nothing. 

I want to know my purpose. I want to know the truth. I feel so empty, I feel like dying. If no one can save me then who will? 

Please, Lord. I call to you now. Help me find my way back to you...
