**DEAN**

"Where are you two going, again?" Aurora asks me and Jason right before we step through the front door.

Jason and I are going to go look for a house today, just like we planned. Since that was supposed to be a surprise for Aurora, she mustn't know about it. And I've instructed the other idiots, who are staying here, to not say anything at all.

Now, I just hope I find an amazing house for Aurora and I to live in. Fingers crossed.

I turn to her and search through my brain for something to say. "Um ..."

"You don't need to know everything we do, Aurora," Jason says nicely. "We're just going to have a guy's time alone and chill with a beer in hand somewhere." I mentally exhale a breath of relief for him saving my ass.

"Okay, than have fun." She kisses my cheek before I follow Jason out.

"Thanks for saving my ass back there." I say to my best friend when I'm already driving to the first house my real estate agent suggested I look at. He's waiting for us there.

"No worries, man," He answers. "I know you want to surprise her."

"Let's just hope none of those idiots tell her anything."

"You've trusted them with way more serious things before, so I think they can handle this." He's right after all and I relax a bit.

Not long after, we arrive at the first house. My real estate agent, Mr. Brown, is already there and I shake his hand to greet the man. So does Jason, so they get acquainted.

Aurora and I had another quick talk about what kind of a house we both wanted and she also said she wanted a house near the beach and I completely agreed. Plus, we both want a big back yard.

"Now, Dean, what do you think of this one?"

This particular house isn't anywhere near the house like Aurora said she wanted it, so at first, I said "no" to Mr. Brown over the phone. I decided to give it a shot when he said the house is just what I'm looking for.

The second I look at it, I want to gag. The exterior of the house is nothing like Mr. Brown described it and I don't even want to look the inside of it.

Where the hell is the white picket fence Aurora wants?

Where the hell is the white picket fence Aurora wants?

"How about we go look at the others?" I turn to Mr. Brown. He looks somewhat hurt I was so direct, but he quickly recollects himself.

"This is fucking horrendous." Jason exclaims and I try to hide my smile.

"You like nothing about the house?" I shake my head and so does Jason. "Then let's move on."
