I wake up with the sun lightly shining at my face through the blinds. I roll onto my side and slightly open my eyes. I see Dean is nowhere in the bedroom and his side of the bed is already cold. He must've gotten up quite some time ago.

I stretch along the bed and then get up from under the covers. I take my fingers through my mess, which is called hair, to make it somewhat presentable before I step out of the room and in front of Dean.

I walk out of the room and close the door after myself. I look into the kitchen and see Dean making something. And it smells delicious, by the way.

"Good morning." I say softly and he looks over his shoulder.

"You're finally up." He says and flips the pancake. "How are you feeling?"

I shrug my shoulders. "I'm alive ..." I walk over to him and lean on the counter. "Thank you for ... you know." I mumble to him. He nods, remembering what happened in the middle of the night.

I had a nightmare and had to be woken up by Dean shaking me awake. I was screaming and sweating like crazy. When I opened my eyes, tears were all over my cheeks. I was breathing heavily and my heartrate was fast. Dean calmed me down immediately and we went back to sleep after that.

"Now sit down and we'll eat." I smile vaguely and do as he said.

He brings a plate of perfect looking pancakes over to the table and two glasses of water. We begin to eat and I have just now realized how hungry I actually am. These pancakes are delicious.

"I think I should probably tell you what they wanted from me yesterday." I mention during eating.

Dean's look snaps up to me and he swallows what he had in his mouth. "There's plenty of time to talk about that, so don't bother worrying about it, okay? For now, you just relax and try to forget about it."

"Why should I forget when later I am going to have to tell you and remember it again?" I swallow some of the water.

"Because I don't want to talk about it." He says and I nod.

"But just tell me this," He gestures for me to go on. "How important are you in your gang? They wouldn't ask me and go through all that trouble if you weren't an important member."

"I-I'm the leader." My breath hitches in my throat. That was the last thing I'd expect to come out of his mouth. Everything that happens in his gang is because of him. He controls it, keeps it together.

"When can I go home?" I ask after I am full and there are no more pancakes on the plate.

"On Monday. This has to blow off a bit."

"But I will have to go to work, though."

Dean raises his eyebrows up at me. "Don't tell me you want to go to work after yesterday."

"I will have to eventually."

Dean shakes his head. "You need to quit your job."

"What?!" I freak out. I know I am not a fan of what I do, but the pay is more than I need. That is the only reason I am doing it. No other job for college students offers such a high pay. "I will not quit, Dean."

"You have to. They know where you work and I can't keep being at the club all the time while you work to keep an eye on you."

"I am allowed to go home but not to work?!" I raise my voice a little, getting irritated that he is treating me like a kid.

"Ezra's with you at home."

"I need the money, Dean." I try to reason with him.

"I have money and I can keep you on your feet until you get a new job." I shake my head furiously.
