You live in the Mukami Household, you thought you would get along with them but sadly you don't.
Yuma, Kou, and Azusa treats you like pure trash. You weren't so sure about the oldest, Ruki. He doesn't treat you like shit but he doesn't really talk to you either.
You were walking through the dark halls of the mansion, heading towards your bedroom. Suddenly you felt a cold breeze going down your neck, making your hairs stand up.
It almost feels like someone was actually breathing down your neck. You looked over your shoulder seeing no one but the empty hall. The moment you turned back around, you were banged into the wall with a cold hand wrapped around your throat tightly.
Your eyes widen in terror as you squirmed around trying to break free. You looked at the person who was choking you. It was Yuma.
"Let me go!" you yelled out.
Your face was turning into a bright red and it was getting much harder for you to get air into your lungs.
Yuma's lips curled up into a twisted smirk "I love seeing you squirm like a roach you are, your so pathetic (Y/N). Why are you so weak? Why can't you ever fight back?".
You felt your eyes stung as your eyes became watery.
You grabbed yuma's wrist, glaring at him with tears in your eyes "You want to know why?".
Yuma arched a brow in amusement.
"I'm not fighting back because I'm weak, I'm not fighting back because...I refuse to sink as low as you and the others" you answered bluntly.
Yuma growled "your annoying".
He squeezed your neck harder, at this point you can see black dots in your vision.
"Yuma!" a strong deep voice shouted.
Yuma flinched as he let you go. Your body slide down to the floor with your back leaning against the wall.
You can feel your lungs burning as you were breathing heavily, getting as much air.
When you gulped you winced in pain. Your throat was swollen and bruised.
"Ruki".
Ruki glared at his younger brother "what do you think Your doing?".
Yuma shrugged "I was trying to kill her but it seems like it didn't go to plan since someone interrupted me".
Ruki snarled "stay away from her and Let this be the last time you hurt her or else I'll hurt you myself".
A tsk escaped Yuma's mouth before he left you and Ruki alone. You glanced up at the oldest vampire, your eyes making contact with his grayish- blue ones.
"Thank...you" You said while enduring the pain you felt in your throat.
Ruki sighed "I think it's best if you didn't speak. Your throat is swollen and your neck is badly bruised".
You nodded. Ruki lifted you into his arms and carried you to his room instead of yours.
He gently put you down on his bed.
"I'll be back. Im going to get you some painkillers" he said.
The moment he stepped out of the room, you started sobbing.
"Why? Why do they hate me so much? What did I do for them to try to kill me?".
And it was true Yuma, Kou, and Azusa had tempted to kill you so many times for some reason.
You were to caught up in your own thoughts that you didn't notice Ruki had already came back with the painkillers.
"(Y/N)? Are you okay? Why are you crying?" he questioned.
You gave him a ill-tell-you-once-you-give-me-the-painkillers look. He handed you the pills and a glass of water. Once you took them you placed the water on the night stand.
"Thank you" you mumbled.
Ruki nodded "now tell me why your crying".
You can already feel a lump forming "why? Why does your brothers hate me so much?".
He stood silent.
"What did I do to deserve this? The moment I step foot into this mansion they were trying to kill me! I don't feel safe here at all" your voice cracked.
You tried to hold back your tears but you failed to do so.
"I feel alone here, I feel like I don't belong in this damn place, Every corner that I turn someone tries to kill me and I cant take it anymore!" you cried out.
Ruki walked in front of you before sitting on the bed. Your eyes widen when he pulled you into a sudden embrace.
"But your not alone" he whispered.
"My brothers may hate you for whatever reason but, I don't. I promise I will protect you from them no matter what" he finished.
You pulled away staring at him with a frown plastered on your face.
"Why do you care about me so much? I always thought you hated me too although, you didn't treat me like trash but you never spoke to me" you said.
Ruki smiled "I care about you because I love you (Y/N). I know I didn't talk to you it was probably because I was nervous".
You chuckled "you, Ruki Mukami, the oldest brother, the one whose intimidating and cold was actually nervous".
Ruki scratched the nape of his neck "I guess".
You smiled "thank you Ruki, for everything".
You quickly pecked his lips. You can see a light shade of pink spread across his cheek.
"Aww he's blushing, I never knew he was capable of doing that. He looks so cute".
Ruki sighed "anyways you should get some rest".
You nodded and laid down in the bed comfortably. You felt yourself drifting off to sleep.
Ruki planted a kiss on your temple "remember your not alone and you'll never be alone as long as I'm around".
You heard his footsteps going towards the door, opening it.
