I walked up to Maria feeling happy, as I always did when I saw my best friend, somehow her prescence made the dominant storming clouds of my body disappear and fill with everlasting light. God! I sounded so soppy, but with Maria, I was always happy. She grinned at me the cold air blowing through her dark wavy hair and waved. I waved back and called out
"aren't you supposed to be at work?" Recently she got selected for a summer job, but she hardly ever turned up for work.
"What the hell is work? I NE-VER work when I'm out with my bestie!" she winked at me, I grinned back and linked my arm through hers and we started walking through the busy streets, looking for excitement.
