Katherine looked at herself in the mirror wanting to make sure that everything was fine.

“Baby, you look fine. You’re not meeting Queen Elizabeth, it’s just Aunt Susan.” Hearing Jace calling Susan with a familial title made Katherine nostalgic for the good time times, before the break up of Jace and Peter’s relationship forced everybody apart.

“Don’t you miss her? I know I do,” Katherine called from behind her shoulders. She saw Jace walking towards her and enveloping his arms around her waist and pulling her against him. She failed from prevent the smile curling her lips.

“Of course I miss her. I miss everybody from the crazy Randall clan,” Jace chuckled against the nape of her neck. His hands began caressing her stomach. Katherine closed her eyes and relished his touch,. No matter how simple the touch was from Jace, no matter how light it was, it seemed he could always make her body heat up. She (just write this late).

“Jace, let’s not start what we can’t finish,” Katherine giggled, knowing if she didn’t try and stop Jace, they’ll have all their cloths discarded.

“We have about an hour,” Jace whispered, nibbling her ear. Katherine allowed herself to enjoy Jace’s attention for the moment, but the minute he began unzipping her dress, she unclasped his arms from around her and moved from him.

“No mister. We really should be going. I have to go get the apple pie.”

“Kathy, come on. Ten minutes, promise and I’ll be done,” Jace begged, making his way to her. Katherine shook her head and headed to the door.

“No, my love. I’m going to check on that apple pie. Once I’ve wrapped it up, we can leave,” Katherine chuckled, amused at his frustrations. And boy was Jace frustrated! He stood in his bedroom, all alone and went to his closet to grab his jacket. When he put it on, he felt a vibration from his behind and reached out to grab his cell phone. He read the message and smirked. He responded.

Jace: Why are you texting me, told you I’m spending time with my wife and former extended family.

Whitney: I know that, just missed you so much. My bed is cold without you :( how soon can I expect you to warm me up in these cold night?

Jace: soon, baby, soon! When I come back, wear that red little number I love so much. I’m going to show you how much I miss you

Whitney: okay baby ;) have fun Xoxo

Jace chuckled at Whitney’s last message, reading the whole exchange over again. Whitney was nice and Jace realized that he actually liked her. She was funny and smart and—

“What are you so happy about?” Jace looked up to find Katherine looking at him with a confused expression. He willed his body not to panic. He gave her his killer watt smile.

“Nothing sweetheart,” he said, putting his phone away in his back pocket. Katherine forced a smile and turned around.

“Okay, let’s go then,” she said walking out of the bedroom. Jace blew out relieved breath. He needed to be careful, he couldn’t get all steamy texting sessions with Whitney when Katherine was around. Good thing his phone being locked was the norm, so Katherine wouldn’t be suspicious if she were ever to find it locked. He walked out the bedroom too and met Katherine in the garage. When he started the car, he placed his hand on Katherine’s knee and squeezed it. Katherine looked at him and returned his smile.

“What?” she asked. Jace shrugged.

“Nothing, it’s just that, we haven’t see the in a long time.” Katherine placed her hand on his, over her knee.
