Swiftly, Sidney charged at Batman. Her hands near her hips as she ran towards him. Batman was ready to counter her as he assumed his fighting stance. Sidney's hands both grabbed a dagger from her thigh as Batman readily performed a right hook. Sidney smirked as she slid under the punch, as she elbowed his rib. Batman quickly jumped to face her as she stood up straight behind him. She went for a slash at his chest with her right dagger as she twirled her left. Batman reacted quickly but taking out a batarang, blocked the dagger's hit. Sidney tried to trip him with a leg sweep but Batman caught her off guard, grabbed her leg and throwing her away. She rolled as she tried to catch her balance. When she was about to stand up, Batman grabbed her by her collar.
"Where's the Emerald, Grey!" Batman shouted as she slammed her onto a wall.
Sidney laughed. "Wow, you're almost going to make me sweat."
Sidney grabbed both of his wrists and sent an electrical shock. Batman jumped back, letting go of Sidney. Sidney cartwheeled to her left and then jumped to him, kicking him in the chest. As he tried to regain his balance, Sidney punched him in the jaw and his stomach, sending an electrical burst through the punches. Batman was on his knees trying to get back up but was in a lot of pain. Sidney smiled as Batman was almost at the edge of the roof.
"Like I said", Sidney smiled as she set her wrist weaponry to bullets. "Almost make me sweat." Sidney aimed her wrist weaponry to his head.
Batman quickly stood up and grabbed her wrist, making her miss his head but hit his side. Batman ignored the pain as he went for a punch to her face. Sidney dodged as she kicked him on the side where he was hit. Batman groaned in pain but still tried to ignore the pain. Sidney smirked, "You don't give up, do you", Sidney set her right wrist weaponry to grapple, "that's going to be your downfall, Bats."
Batman narrowed his eyes as Sidney shot the grapple at his left leg, wrapping around it. She pulled him towards her but as he was being pulled, Batman used that momentum to kick Sidney. Sidney grunted as she fell on her side. Noticing the grapple was still wrapped, she pressed a button on her wrist weaponry and sent a shock through the grapple. Batman grunted in pain as he was once again brought to his knees.
Sidney stood up as Batman was still getting shocked. Sidney smirked as she raised the level of electricity, making the shock even more painful. "Should of went to save little Batgirl", Sidney said as she was readying her left wrist to shoot him, "because now you'll be in the same place as her."
As Sidney was ready to shoot him, her wrist weaponry malfunctioned, causing the grapple to stop sending him a shock. She looked at her weaponry then her surroundings. "What the hell."
Suddenly, green lights started pointing at her and Batman. Then, a green question mark formed on the roof where they stood. Sidney tossed her head back and groaned. "You have got to be kidding me." Batman got the grapple off of himself as he stood up, holding his shot side.
A voice on the speakers started to talk. "As much as I would love to see the Mystery of Gotham take on the Dark Knight, I would also love the challenge of taking that precious emerald." the voice laughed a bit.
"Why don't you go solve a crossword puzzle and piss off, Nigma." Sidney yelled out loud to the voice. There was a slam heard through the speakers."Alright then, Mystery" Riddler said that with disgust. "Let's see how smart you two really are when you have to work together." Riddler scoffed. "Riddle me this, Sidney Grey."
"I don't have time..." Sidney was mid sentence when a knockout gas started to kick in. Sidney tried to turn on the helmet of her suit but it was malfunctioning.
"What is a question you could never say yes to?"
"I'm going to..." she started to say as she fully knocked out along with Batman.
"Are you asleep?"
Sidney groaned as she rolled on her side. The floor was cold as the room itself seemed of normal temperature. No vents, no windows. One single metal door. Remotely operated it seemed. Sidney was completely trapped. She looked at the ceiling. One singular light source. Could be wired a long with the door. If she could rewrite the wiring.
"Are you awake?" said a voice.
Sidney jolted as she sat up. "Yeah I'm awake." She looked up. "Oh it's you..."
Batman narrowed his eyes. "If we are need out of here alive we're going to work together."
Sidney scanned him. "He took your utility belt. Which means", Sidney looked at her wrist. Gone. She felt to see if her choker was there. Gone.
"Crap." She stood up fully."Like I said." Batman repeated. "We're working together."
"That sounds more like an order than a request" Sidney put her hands on her hips.
"It is an order"
"Ah I see the two of you are awake." Riddler came back on the speakers. "Yes Sidney I have your precious bio suit of yours", Sidney could tell he was smirking behind those speakers, "And the little emerald you two were brainlessly fighting over."
Sidney made a fist. "The only brainless person here is you", she yelled. "Who the hell takes their prize and then makes a game out of it only to lose it again! This is why I stopped working for you Nigma. You are a simple minded idiot."
Riddler slammed something down again. "You are all idiots compared to me! I am the smartest man alive!"
"You are a narcissistic bastard"
"Shut up! Shut up! Shut up!" He yelled through the speakers while things seemed to be slammed.
Batman looked at Sidney, "You're appealing to his weakness. Being inferior." Batman observed. Sidney nodded and smiled at Batman, then turned her attention back to the speaker. "If you were the smartest person alive, you would of had the emerald first."
Riddler calmed down. "You will be proven wrong, Grey! You both are!"
Riddler cleared his throat as Sidney and Batman exchanged looks.
"Now that we have all settled." He cleared his throat one more time.
"Let the games begin!"
