I glanced up at he blue sky to take in the little white puffs floating weightlessly there. The breeze was making my hair flutter around my shoulders as Harry and I competed to get the highest on the swings.
What? Trust me you are never to old for swings!
The smile I noticed that had spread across his face made my heart stutter. His perfect white teeth were a brilliant contrast to his golden brown, tanned skin. With just a pair of plump, pink, and highly kissable lips to separate the two.
Everything at this perfect moment in time felt almost like a dream. The kind of dream that you wish you would never have to wake up from, to face the real world. Or even the type of dream that when the deep slumber vanishes, and slowly transforms into your light sleepy state that you try and force youself back into subconsciousness just to stay in that dream for a little while longer.
So that's how I stayed, for the next few seconds I just took everything in, whilst I continued to push myself higher and higher into the air. Up closer the the clouds, and the birds the sing there hypnotizing melodies in the tree-tops.
I think that Harry must of called my name at least four times before I was fully torn from my day dream.
"Amanda!" He snickered at me.
"Ugh... yeh sorry. Um..hi? Sorry, what were you saying," struggling for words, I tried to stop myself from making a fool of me.
"Penny for your thoughts," He questioned casually taking a copper penny out of his back pocket and tossing it lightly into my hands.
At first I looked at him with a confused expression. This was usually the type of thing my grandpa would do, but it took me by surprise to have someone my age ask me.
Sighing, I placed the cold coin in the palm of my hand as I started to explain my thoughts.
"Everything is so peaceful, and right now there is nothing I will ever want to do more than what we are doing right now. I wish this moment would never stop playing."
He litterally started beaming, so I passed the penny back to him.
"A penny for your thoughts," I questioned, an eyebrow raised.
"Well, it's not very interesting but the exact same as you," He smiled at me, before we started to watch our friends on the feild close by.
When we reached the park Harry and I escaped to the peaceful swings when everyone else went to play a good game of foorball.
Harrys friends were already here, and they spoke with us for almost five minuets before they drifter over to play football.
I'm not to sure how long this went on for; hours? Or maybe only a dew seconds? But either way it soon srated to go cool outside, and we ran out of small talk.
"I should get walking back by now," I groaned, stretching my long legs out infront of me.
"I'll walk you back, lets go and say goodbye," ...... what a gentleman he is!
We strolled, hand in hand, up to our newly formed group.
A few minutes later, and after exchanging hugs, kisses, and the occasional fist bump Harry and I set off.
Unfortunately the short cut which lead almost straight back to my house meant we had to go down and old muddy path, and I just happened to be the clumsyest person you ever could meet.
Brilliant.
I had survived a measly few meters before I lost my footing and went arse over tit, landing in yet another puddle.
My face flamed up as I froze in place. Loosing the ability to move in my embarrassment.
"Amanda! Are you OK?" Harry said, gripping his sides as his laughter erupted.
I could tell he was at least trying to look concerned, but his amusement was clear. However, I did appreciate the thought behind his dreadful acting.
I dragged myself from the ground, only to fall face first again.
This time it was me who couldn't contain my laughter.
I decided that I was either going to laugh or cry, and I didn't suppose crying would be particularly attractive. Not that it matter how attractive I looked given the circumstances. Realizing I was going to need help to avoid repeating the previous another times, I outstretched my hands.
I still felt a little spark of electricity shoot through my veins as soon as his finger tips brushed against mine. The shivers traveled all the way through my body and made my heart speed up as he entwined our fingers, and tugged me from the ground like a weighed nothing more than a bag or sugar.
As I did so I noticed how muscled his arms are, especially when he tenced them to pick me up.
Wow.
I had to mentally slap myself to stop me from staring up at the perfection in front of me.
Then all of a sudden, out of no where -or maybe I just wasn't paying any attention- I was flying into the air.
My first thought was that I was falling, but soon I realized he had chucked me over his shoulder into a fireman's lift to carry me. In attempt to stop me from slipping again. Sweetheart!
I glanced down and noticed that now he was almost as muddy as I was, and we were equally as slippery.
Both of us had lost the natural, highlighting the sun had done to our hair, and now just had thick sticky brown gloop covering it.
Gross, but highly entertaining.
As soon as he stepped forward the movement made me slip. But I didn't fall. So he kept going, moving forward as I clung on to his strong body, loving every bloody second.
Thats the thing. When I spend time with Harry I could be doing the most random, weird, or even ordinary thing and he can make it exiting, and make a memory out of it.
I think that is why I...Love him. Not that I'd be ready to tell him seriously I a proper situition that yet.
It wasn't to far on the muddy path, so after only a little while I was placed gently down on my own two feet.
The last little part of the walk back was done in a comfortable silence, with our arms now linked.
As we approached the front of my house I felt Harry stifen at my side. It took me a second to gather why, but it didnt take a genious to work out he really wasn't keen on the idea of leaving me in the house with my mums new boyfriend.
Whats his name again...Bobby....No...
Ryan...No...
Rhys....No...
Robby....Yes..!
I must admit, I wasn't to keen on the guy, but I wasn't going to make a judgement before even getting to know him at least a little.
