The sound of rain pelting the windows pulls me out of my restless sleep, I can see the light under the adjoining door meaning the Winchesters are already up. I get showered and dressed, I hesitate by the door. Startled when it swings open revealing an already dressed Sam holding a coffee out to me.
"Here, you look like you could use it" Sam says, opening the door to let me in.
"Sam, you should never tell a woman she looks tired" I say sipping the coffee.
He chuckles.
"Noted" He says putting his boots on.
"Where's Dean" I ask not hearing the shower.
"Out getting breakfast" He replies.
I nod and look around at their packed stuff by the door.
Sam follows my gaze. He gets up and quickly produces a newspaper article about strange bloodless corpses and several strange bodies.
"So, vampires" I ask handing him the paper.
"Yep, Dean's pretty jazzed about this one.
"Where to" I ask while walking in my room to pack my stuff.
"Wisconsin. A small county; Stillwater"
Sam says shrugging on his jacket.
"How many have gone missing" I ask dropping my duffel bag by the door.
"Six, victims. Plus three of the suspicious bodies have been found" He says also nursing his own coffee.
Before I can say anything more, the low rumble of the impala fills the air.
"Dean's back" I say looking over at Sammy.
Sam looks at me for what feels like forever, only looking away for a second before turning back to me.
"He's not mad at you" He whispers.
I smile, even though I didn't voice it out loud Sam knew what was going through my head.
"Morning sleepy head" Dean says once Sam and I are in the car.
"Morning" I say settling in my seat.
"Sammy tell ya about the case" Dean asks looking at me in the rear view mirror.
"Yeah, he did. Looks interesting" I say pulling my favourite blanket out from under the seats.
"Certainly does" Sam chirps already starting his research.
I keep an eye on Dean still wondering if he's ok, I know that rock salt is harmless to him. It must have hurt like hell.
Soon the keyboard clicks lead to snoring, Sam snores like a trucker with a head cold.
"Your staring" Dean says catching my eye.
Flustered I look away, still I feel him glancing at me.
"Was not" I mumble.
He sighs and grins that trademark Dean Winchester grin.
"Is something bothering you" He asks in a more serious tone.
"I was just wondering if you were ok. After yesterday" I say ducking my head, and looking out my window.
"You mean after you saved my bacon" He asks.
I nod looking at the back of his head.
"I'm a little sore, but I'd take sore over being Arthur's puppet" He says shuddering slightly at the mention of Arthur.
"That's good to hear, since you slept through the rest of the case" I say barely holding back a giggle.
"Not like I had a choice" He says laughing softly.
I sigh enjoying the sounds of the radio Dean humming to AC/DC and of course Sam's snoring.
"Your brother snores like a trucker with a head cold" I say kicking off my shoes and cuddling up in my blanket.
"I've been telling him that for years" Dean says shaking his head.
I nod.
I must have fallen asleep, because the sudden stop of the car startles me awake.
"What happened"? I ask looking around my eyes fuzzy from my nap.
"Just stopping for gas" Dean says quietly.
"Where are we"? I ask getting comfy again.
"We've still got a few more hours" Dean says settling in behind the wheel.
"You want to take a break I'm sure Sam has had enough sleep by now" I ask him.
"Nah kid needs his sleep" Dean says smiling fondly at his brother.
"Okay" I say letting my eyes slip shut.

Dean POV

Finally back on the road, I look over my shoulder and smile. Ryan is sound asleep in the back seat, wrapped in the blanket she brings on hunts. I know wandering off in Arthur's house was a dumb idea but I didn't know he had the juice to full on possess people. But I'm glad Sammy and Ryan were able to torch the bones.
I groan when Sam starts snoring loudly again.
"Come on Sam why do you have to snore" I ask him even though he's sleeping.
I turn up the radio to try and drown him out.
We still have the yellow eyes hunt on the back burner, since the bastard has gone under ground. I shake my head and focus on the road.
-in Wisconsin-
I park the impala, Ryan and Sam still sleeping, I guess the rest of the hunt really tired them out. I get the room keys and drive over to our rooms.
"Sam" I say shaking his shoulder.
He starts awake.
"Dean"? He asks squinting at me.
"We're here" I say ruffling his hair.
He gets out and shuffles into the room. I go around to the back and carefully open the door Ryan is sleeping on. I can't bring myself to wake her up, I pull her into my arms blanket and all and carry her to her room next door to ours.
Her eyes open a little.
"We're at the motel. Go back to sleep" I say putting her on her bed and with her blanket.
She nods and rolls over and sighs. I walk back out to my car and grab both Sam's stuff and mine, and quickly put Ryan's bag in her room.
I kick the door shut and toss my jacket and my flannel shirt on the end of the bed and crash on the crappy motel mattress.
