^^^^ I know this is a shacam story but seriously omg fletcher had me dying for this picture^^^
*question: do you guys enjoy the long chapters? I don't want to bore you guys with them. I got use to writing at least 2000 words for each of them*

Shannon pov:
"Hi Cari" is all I could say. Like what would you say to the girl you're still in love with but can't be with. While also having another girl back in Texas who you also love and care about. "Since shan here isn't inviting you in, I will" ally gestures Cari to come in. I just stand frozen at the door, trying to get myself together. I walk to the living room to see Cari, Stevie, and ally sitting on the couch. "Nice of you to join us. You okay?" Stevie asks and I nod my head. "Are you sure you're okay?" Cari asks and she grabs my hand. I look down at our hands and reality hits me right in the face. Cari Fletcher is here. Cari is here. She is finally back. I think to myself before attacking cari into a huge bear hug. "I missed you so much" I say and hug her a bit tighter. "I missed you too" she says and kisses me on the cheek. "But..." I let go of her because that word only leads to bad news. From the side of eyes I see both Stevie and ally has left the room, leaving Cari and I alone. "But what?" I ask and move away from her. "I can't be with you" she says with pain in her voice. I can see her holding back tears and my instincts kicked in making me run over to her and hold her in my arms. "Don't cry, please. It'll only make me want to cry. Why don't we talk about this later, okay? I think Aiden wants to see you" I say breaking the hug. She smiles at me and nods. I take her hand and lead her up to Aiden's room where he is taking his afternoon nap. We open the door slowly to see him hugging his iPad again. I turn to Cari and she has a sad look on her face. He missed her so much and hugging the iPad is the only way he sleeps. "Wait here" I say and she nods. I walk into his bedroom and slowly wake my little boy up. "Aiden wake up" I say and he shakes his head. "Mommy I want to sleep" he says and his cute little voice. "I have a surprise for you" I say and he shakes his head again. "I don't like surprises" he says and I hear Cari laugh from the hallway. "You and me both son" I say. Cari walks into the room and tickles Aiden's back. "Mommy stop" he laughs out loud and realizes I'm not the one tickling him. He jumps up from his bed sending a kick right into Cari stomach and I swear I have not laughed this hard in my life. "Auntie Cari!!!!" He yells and jumps on her giving her a hug. "I missed you so much. Seeing you through the iPad isn't the same as seeing you in real life" he adds and cries in her arm. Cari hold him tight in her arms, not wanting to let go of him. She also had a sad face and I knew why. Her tour was still going on and visiting us was like a quick pit stop.
"Hey buddy, you know that I missed you and I love you, right?" Cari says and aiden lifts his head from her chest and nods. "I missed you too. Please don't leave me again" he hugs her tighter and then she starts crying too. "Aiden you know that it's hard for me to leave you but I have to" she says and I sit right next to them. I first wipe the tears of my baby boy and then the tears of Cari. I looked at my broken son and take him in my arms. "Aiden, it's hard to say this but she has to go. Baby, me and your father are broken seeing you sad. It's like we're not good parents for you. Auntie Cari has been a big part of your life and will always be. She'll always be here for this family and we'll always be here for her. Aiden you're just gonna have to learn that goodbyes are hard" I say and wipe the tears that are again escaping his eyes. "Even the strongest people have their breaking point. But we have to be strong for auntie Cari because she has a bright future in front of her and we don't want to take that away" I say and he shakes his head. "B-bb-ut I'm gonna miss her too much" he tries to say while speaking. "That's why I FaceTime you everyday bud because I need to see you and your mommies face to get me through the day" Cari says and what she says makes me smile. "I got till tomorrow and I have to go back on tour. So do you want to play with me?" She asks him. "Yayyyy!!" He yells and they both run out of the room. I smile at how happy she makes him. I also smile at the thought of how happy she makes me. Why did she have to leave?
