A few years ago, my bestfriend fell head-over-heels for this guy named, Travis. Now, Travis  was just as much in love with her as she was with him. My friend's name is Angelica, and they were great together, perfect  for one another. Seriously.

One sunny day in late March, Travis asked Angelica to marry him. Really not to anyone's surprise. A few months pasted and BOOM, she was pregnant. I still remember the day.

" My water broke!" Wet-pantsed Angelica waddled into the den. "Oh God!" Travis yelled searching for his keys. I helped him look as I said to him, "Don't panic!" He ran around like a crazed man, "I'M PANICKING! I'M PANICKING!" After some more screaming and searching, we made it to the hospital, Travis and I sat anxiously in the waiting room. Then after what literally seemed like days  the doctor walked out and smiled, "You can see them now." (Also, they didn't want not know the gender to the day of birth.) It was a beautiful baby boy. But I noticed something wrong right when I walked into the room, Angelica wasn't holding the baby. Matter of fact I watched her hand the-already cleaned up-baby to one of the nurses. Angelica was my bestfriend, and I always  could tell when something was a matter. I practically ran to her, "What's wrong?" Her tired eyes met my worried ones, "Elena, I love you, and I love the baby and Travis. Know that, if I don't make it...you must raise my child," She grasped my fore-arm "You  must."   I called for the doctor, as I watched my bestfriends  eyes roll back.

That day, I lost my bestfriend. Right after having a beautiful baby. That day had been so perfect, we had a nice breakfast, hers was in bed of course. We stayed in her room all day talking, watching TV, it was great. I moved into Angelica's house, to help Travis. He was the only child and was very pampered as a child, so he had no idea how to take care of a kid. One day I decided to go into Angelica's office, I saw a stack of papers, I looked over them. In those papers were the legal rights that if Travis or Angelica pasted or anything of the sort of running away, I Elena Crimson, would have custody of their kid(s).

Every since I met Angelica, she had always loved the name Aiden for a boy. Travis agreed to the plan. I came home from work and noticed Travis's car gone. I ran inside, to a whaling baby. Travis had left a note.

I cant do this anymore, I have to leave. You are good with Aiden. You can take care of him.

And I knew, then and there, he had abandoned his baby and I. I remember right when Angelica got taken back to the delivery room, he called out, "I'll always be with you!"

I still remember that day, how could I not?
