But, that sad little story was awhile ago. Aiden is 2 years old now, he goes to a nice daycare while I work, and at that nice little daycare, are the moms that have no worries because their husbands work at jobs that pay 200 dollars per hour. So they can spend all day the daycare doing 'Circle-Time' with their kids. And every time I walk in that snooty place, all the mothers ask, "Why are you in such a rush?" Followed by their evil slightly wine-stained smile.
And this particular morning I was in a heap of a rush, I barley had time to put on clothes. I ran around grabbing everything I could remember I needed, put Aiden in the car and floored to the daycare. "Hi, I'm here to drop off Aiden Crimson." There was a nice old woman at the front desk where I dropped off Aiden, she was always kind. And then this perfect mother walked up, with her-no offence- ugly baby. "Oh, hey Elena come do Circle-Time with us." I handed Aiden to the owner of the daycare. "Good thinking, Jessica!" The owner (Amy) said jumping up and down in excitement. "Oh...Well, I'm gonna be late, and..." Jessica gave me an evil grin, and Amy raised her eyebrows, "Well, news has spread that you haven't ever been to any of our meetings, and you've never stayed 3 minutes when you drop off Aiden." By the time Amy was done nagging, all the other 'perfect' moms had gathered around saying "Yeah, Come on." "Please?"
I had 5 minutes to get to work. I could feel my temper raising. "Y'know what? I cant stay! Because I don't have a husband that works at a high-paying job, and I don't work at a high-paying job! So, I may not be able to sit here all day and kiss everyone's butts and brown nose everyone, but I, by myself; can support my child!" All the mothers were staring wide-eyed.
Amy looked at me then Aiden, "Alright, I...uh understand." She, along with all the other stuck-up mothers walked away.
And I never was asked to do 'Circle-Time' ever again.
Hehehehehehe...
