I had fallen asleep on my couch. When I woke up, a sudden rage came over me. It was almost like someone had just reminded me of all the bad things that had happened.
Aiden had fell asleep on my stomach, his little body was very warm, "Aiden," I say, as if I'm scared of waking him. His shoulders move, and he snores gently, like he was telling me to go away. He looked comfortable, quiet, content.
Different from me.
I was angry. And I couldn't find a reason why. Or who I was mad at!
Watching Aiden's small body slowly move up and down, unknowing of all the things that had happened, ever, brought a small peace over me. I've never waken up like this before, my face was hot and everything annoyed me.
I gently touched Aiden's shoulder, he raised his head.
"Mmm?.."He tugged at my shirt
"You need to go to bed, honey." I tried not to sound like I was upset, but failed. I could tell in his eyes, he knew something was wrong. They shimmered, full of water. My eyes widened.
What?...
He whimpered as I sat up on the couch,"Aiden, baby, what-"
"You yelled at me!!"
Unknowingly I raised my voice when I woke him up, I guess me being that close to his little ears must have sounded like yelling.
"Im sorry, let's go to bed," Lowering my voice to just above a whisper, I kissed his small cheek.
He nodded into my chest as if he were forgiving me, and we went to my room and fell back asleep...
