Chapter Fourteen: Narrowed Future

Shere' Khan's POV

I finally made it to the monkey temple. It was a bit of a climb but I managed. The sun was rising, I was hungry and quite tired, but the only thing that I wanted was (Y/n). She has been haunting me ever since her, not so real, death. I growled when the only smell that I could smell was monkeys. I sniffed the air, and there was the faint smell of (Y/n) and... the man-cub. Why was the man-cub here! 

"Alright, where is (Y/n) and the Man-cub!" I exclaimed. Every being in the room froze and turned to look at me. I took large, but slow steps forward. 

"Ah, Shere' Khan, how nice of you to stop by. I assume you came for (Y/n)?" The larger monkey said. 

"Yes, and I do not see her." I growled. 

"Oh calm down, she is here, but before we hand her over to you, I have a deal to make with you. You let the Man-Cub live and (Y/n) is all yours." I growled.

"And, whos idea was this?!" I know what he wants the red-flower, and the man-cub can give him that, all he wanted was power, but isn't that what I want to? But what is a king without his queen? 

"It was (Y/n)'s. She said she will give herself to you in anyway you desire, if you let the Man-Cub live." I thought for a moment. 

"Show her to me, and then I will give you and answer." He nodded then turned to reveal (Y/n) walking from out behind him, her head down and a saddened look on her face. But it was her, she was here, alive. 

"Fine, you have a deal, but I never want to see the Man-Cub again, if I do, the deal if off." I said. (Y/n)'s face shot up and fear spread all over her face. 

"Very well, There you go (Y/n), I hope you live happily." Louie said pushing her off a little. She started to walk to me. My heart started to skip beats. I need to play this cool.

"Well (Y/n) it is nice to know that you are alive, we have much to talk about." I said calmly. She didn't even look up. 

"It was nice doing buissness with you." I said turning and walking way. I could hear the feel of my future mate following me. A smile made its way onto my face. 

Bagheera's POV

I watched as (Y/n) walked away with Shere' Khan. My heart broke. It was already cracked when she said she would use herself to keep Mowgli safe, but watching her walk away... every last piece crumbled into smaller ones. 

"Hey, are you going to be okay?" Baloo asked with saddened eyes. 

"Yes... I... I will be fine." I said as confident as I could. I will get you back (Y/n) I promise. 

"Well if we are going to get Mowgli we better do it now." Baloo said walking back over to the entrance to the cave. He walked in and caught every monkeys attention. 

"Um Excuse me? Louie? Is that you!?" Baloo said acting.

"What is this?" Louie said. 

"Oh my god is that king Louie!? I mean wow you are just so... enormous!" I almost tripped. What king of compliment is that!

"Throw him off the cliff." Louie said and every monkey started to run to Baloo. I snuck in and blended in with the dark. I saw Mowgli turn and look at me. I told him with the movement of my head to follow me. He did so we were close to the exit when a monkey must have seen me. He signaled Louie. He had noticed that Mowgli was gone. 

"AFTER THEM! GET THE MAN-CUB!" 

(Y/n)'s pov

I followed Shere Khan. I never once looked him in the eye and whatever conversation we made I answered with show and quick responses. 

"(Y/n), if you want to be happy you are going to have to help me and make this work. Even if you aren't happy you are still going to stay with me. I don't care if you hate me, you will forever me mine." Shere 'Khan said sternly. Just his voice made me miss Bagheera all the more. The rest of the walk was quiet. We finally made it back to the wolf pack, every wolf there looked at me with sorrowful eyes. 

"Wolves, from now on you are to treat (Y/n) as your queen, any disrespect and you will answer to me." Shere Khan said making every wolf there flinch and bow their heads. I tried my hardest to keep my tears in, I knew the wolves saw it, but one trader tear fell. 

"You are dismissed." Shere' Khan said pushing me with his head over a little. 

"(Y/n), by tomorrows sunset, I except you to be ready to mate."
