*PLEASE READ THE AUTHORS NOTE!!!*
I am so sorry for the late update folks. I meant to update on Easter, but I had family things, and then the next day I had school. So I am sorry. Now that school is starting I am going to set our goals higher so that I have more time to update. I hope you all don't mind. Also, note that some chapters will be shorter because I am constricted by time.
(Y/n)'s POV
I followed beside Bagheera unsure of the large bear following us. As we made our wat to where ever we were supposed to be.
"Oh and Bagheera, you have to promise hot to get mad," Mowgli said as he came to a halt and turn slightly.
"Why would I be mad?" Bagheera sounded as confused as I was.
"You will see, but please promise." Mowgli pleaded. I already knew that Bagheera would be mad, but you couldn't blame Mowgli for trying.
"Show me, then I'll decide," Bagheera said following Mowgli once more. We finally came upon a cave.
"Look at these vines! I wrapped multiple vines together to make then longer and stronger." Mowgli sounded really proud of his work. I was too in all honesty. I have been around man for most of my life, and this is just what man liked to do. It just showed me that Mowgli would actually end up fitting in with the man world. "But do you wanna see the really cool part? It's inside, come on I'll show you, Come on!" He said running into the cave. As Bagheera walked past I could feel his anger rising. He let out an angry aggressive growl as he stared down the vines. I looked at Bagheera. Nudging his shoulder a little he looked at me, and his anger didn't change. He walked inside behind Baloo, and me by Bagheera's side.
"Look, it's a honey stack for winter!" Mowgli held up a huge bee hive. I knew this is what set Bagheera off.
"Have you lost your mind?!" He said with a growl.
"You said you wouldn't get mad." I wanted to point out that he really didn't, but I knew that this wasn't the time to bud in.
"Have you forgotten everything Akela taught you? There is no place in the jungle for these... TRICKS! If you want to do this, you do this in the man village." I felt bad for Mowgli, I would have taken this as Bagheera didn't want me around, but I knew Mowgli was smarter.
"But I was helping Baloo get ready for hibernation." Mowgli protested.
"Bears don't hibernate in the jungle, what are you teaching him?" Bagheera scolded Baloo.
"Not full hibernation, but I nap a lot," Baloo stated mater-of-a-factly. "Hey, I have an idea. What if we all sit down have some honey." Bagheera interrupted with a stern voice, obviously not amused.
"I don't eat honey."
"Alright, I'll eat the honey, but why not rest. It is getting too late to travel." I liked this Bear's thinking.
"I think we should. Besides, you seem like you need rest." I whispered in his ear. He seemed to loosen at the sound of my voice.
"Fine, but we leave at first light." He said turning around. I mouthed the words 'thank you' to Baloo and turned to follow Bagheera. As we were walking I followed behind limping.
"Is your leg still bothering you?" Bagheera asked. I didn't even notice that he was watching me.
"Yeah, just a little, but you must not worry about me. Let's just find a place to rest." He nodded and started to climb up a tree. I tried to follow, but my leg gave out just as I was about to reach the top. I fell to the ground with a cry out.
"(Y/n)!"
