I am truly sorry for the long wait. But here is the next chapter, I hope you like it.

(y/n)'s pov

"Do you think the turtles or crocodiles will let me stay with them? Oh! Maybe the buffalo! They always let me hang around." Mowgli balanced over a fallen tree as Bagheera and I jumped across the large ditch.

"No, we are taking you to the man village," Bagheera said, and to me, he started to sound annoyed with Mowgli's constant complaining about going to the man village. I couldn't blame Mowgli though. He has never been around man, well I have, they are loud and very annoying. They would always put their faces up to the glass of my enclosure and stare at me, and if I were in my outside enclosure they would through their humanly... things, like these round things that held weird different types of water in then and a weird hollow thing sticking out from it. Or they would through weird types of man food at me.

"But Bagheera, I don't know man." Mowgli protested.

"Well, I have been, and I think you don't have that much to learn. I mean, you catch on fast and your very open minded and smart, so I think you will be fine."

"I agree with (Y/N), you will learn." As we walked a bit more, the ground started to shake. I looked over to my left which is where the vibrations seemed to be coming from. As I looked there was a huge herd of elephants walking our way.

"How... Elephants!" Mowgli said in awe, and I just stared at them also in complete awe.

"Bow your heads," Bagheera said as he put his head down.

"Why?" Mowgli asked copying Bagheera.

"Show them respect. The elephants created this jungle, where they made furrows with their tusks the rivers ran. Where they blew their trunks the leaves fell. They made all that belongs, the trees, the birds in the trees, but they did not make you. That is why you must go." He said calmly. I looked at Bagheera, I was in awe at his wise words. As the elephants passed Bagheera started to stand back up, and Mowgli and I followed.

We were now walking through a meadow filled with a lot... and I mean A LOT of buffalo. They seemed a littler nervous because of the presence of Bagheera and I, but they seemed more scared of Mowgli. We were walking in silence until I heard something that didn't seem to fit in the setting we were in. I nudged Bagheera, who seemed to heard hear it too.

"Mowgli, I want you to run."

"Why?"

"Run to the Northern forest, I will meet you there, take (Y/N) with you, show her the way." I nodded. "Run Mowgli! Run!" That's when I knew that we were no longer safe, and I had to step in.

"Keep going Mowgli!" I said as I made the faster "U" turn that I have ever done in my life, and sprinted right into the claws of Shere Kan. I jumped up and landed on his back, trying to pull him down. He just swiped around and grabbed the scruff on my neck and threw me aside. I got right back and tackled his lower back again this time actually bringing him down. I tried to grab ahold of his neck to try and kill him, but I knew my smaller mouth and his bigger body, I wouldn't be able to fully get the job done. It kept him from turning and attacking me until the ground started to shake again, and the herd of buffalo appeared and started running towards us. Fear took over me as I leaped up and ran, they were close enough where I hoped that they were hit the tiger and knock him out or something, and I was right. Right as Shere Kan got up and started to run to Mowgli, a buffalo rammed right into him knocking him over. It didn't last long before he got back up again.

"RUN MOWGLI!" I yelled trying to get to him, but without me knowing. The herd was running right to me. I soon felt a huge pain in my back, neck, and head. Well along with every bone in my body, that's what hurt the most, and that was also when everything went black.

Bagheera's POV

I finally had the strength to stand back up. The smell of blood covered my nose. I followed it hoping I wouldn't find Mowgli or (Y/N). As I got closer I smelt Shere Kan and (Y/n). I finally saw a body laying on the grass. As I got closer the (C/F) (Color fur) fur was a dead give away on who it was. I rushed over to her and froze at what I saw. There (y/n) laid with a leg twisted almost all around, dents in her body where the buffalo trampled her, and her neck torn open, possibly cause by the hoof of a buffalo or Shere Kan.

Well here is the next chapter I hope you enjoyed.
