Chapter Sixteen: This Is The End

Bagheera's POV

Because of our faster speeds we beat Mowgli back to where everyone else was which was by the watering hole. I was worried about Mowgli, but I was also looking for (Y/N). I haven't seen her. I looked around frantically. Finally I spotted her, she was by the wolf pups keeping them company from the fear that was radiating from ever other animal in the jungle. I quickly ran to her, she didn't seem to notice me yet, so I did the first think that came to mind. I tackled her down. She yelped and growled as I pinned her. When she recognized me her face lit up, yet froze at the same time.

"Bagheera?" She said almost as if it were a dream.

"I'm here (Y/N)." I leaned down and licked her cheek. He face almost flushed. I know this isn't the time nor the place for this, but this was my moment. No matter how today ended I needed her to know that I loved her.

"(Y/N). I know that this... this isn't the time and place. But I need to tell you something." Her eyes seemed to widen.

"(Y/N)... I Lo-" I was cut off once again from gasps from the other animals. They weren't looking at us, but at Mowgli running towards us with a red flower in his hand. I got off of (Y/N) who was now watching as Mowgli ran into the mix of bodies.

"Shere Khan! Shere Khan! I'm not afraid of you!" He yelled. Shere Khan slowly started making his way out of the crowd.

"Isn't it always a proud day when they come of age." Shere Khan said almost sarcastically.

"I'm not scared of you!" Mowgli said once again.

"I don't think I am everyone else' main concern." He was right. Every animal here was backing away from Mowgli.

"No... that's not..." Mowgli stuttered. He then threw the red flower into the water destroying it.

"That could have been the stupidest thing you could have done." He said stalking closer to him. "Now you have no defense, no fur, claws, or friends." I growled at his comment. I looked over at (Y/N) who looked as mad as I did.

"Now this is the Law Of the Jungle. As old and as true as the sky." (Y/N) Started to say stepping forward. I looked at her once then joined in with her.

"And the Wolf that shall keep it may prosper, but the Wolf that shall break it must die." Everyone one by one started chanting together.

"Fine, Join together! It wont matter! I will have this Man-cub killed!" Shere Khan said charging at him. Baloo runs at him they battled tooth and claw biting and ripping at each others throats. Shere Khan caught on to his weak spot and bit down. Baloo cried out falling to the ground. Everyone around gasped.

"Wolves! Attack!" The wolves shouted as they charged. I charged with them and (Y/N) close behind. I saw Mowgli charge, but I made a sharp turn to pin him down to stop him.

"Get off me!" He yelled. "I want to help!"

"You can't fight him like a wolf your not a wolf!" I said. Really only he could stop Shere Khan, and this was a battle that could go one of two ways. Shere Khan dies, or Mowgli. "Fight him like a Man!" I said making him realize what he was supposed to do. He got up and ran into the woods, everyone was helping to stall for him.

Shere Khan had gotten out of the wolves defense and (Y/N) and I were chasing him. I reached him and tackled him to the ground. (Y/N) joined in. Shere Khan pinned me down, and (Y/N) was on top of him trying to get him off. Shere Khan did a quick turn around and bit (Y/N) on her neck making her shout out in pain, she fell to the ground.

"(Y/N)!!" I said. It wasn't loud, but I knew she heard me. I couldn't get up to help her. My head was pounding. I remember looking at her and watching as her eyes closed. And soon, mine did too.

(Y/N)'s POV

My eyes started to slowly open. I thought I was dead for sure. I couldn't move my head. I used my eyes to look around but my vision was blurry.

"(Y/N)!" I heard a voice say. I looked around trying to match a voice to a face. Soon my vision cleared and I was met with Bagheera. My heart melted. I loved him and he was here.

"B-Bagheera..." He smiled.

"I'm here... I'm here." He said nuzzling me.

"What... where is Mowgli?" I asked. And soon Mowgli's face popped up into view. I purred as I saw him.

"Your okay." I said breathlessly. He nodded I looked back up at Bagheera who soon started to become blurry again. His face turned into one of concern.

"(Y/N)?.......(y/........." And soon my world turned black once again. I had a feeling.... that this was the end.

OMG THE FINAL CHAPTER IS DONE!!! Maybe if we can get to 130 votes for the epelouge and can we do 155 votes for a sequel?? I love you all and all your support!! (I am going to label this as complete, but I will update is we meet these vote requirements.
