CHAPTER 13

Eva's POV

The loud knocking on the door woke me up from my deep slumber. Ugh! I can't even sleep for ten minutes in this house. I threw a pillow on the floor, frustrated.

"Go awaayy!" I whined but the knocking didn't stop.

My eyes were heavy with the sleep and I felt tired. I knew my hair resembled a bird's nest and my clothes were crumbled but, I didn't care one bit. I got up and stomped my way towards the door.

Throwing the door open, I glared at the person.

"What?" I asked.

It was Theodore. He kept looking at me with a bored expression. I folded my arms over my chest and raised an eyebrow at him, urging him to speak.

"Alpha sent me. Get ready. I am going to train you every day, starting from today," he spoke.

"Train? Train for what? I already completed my training," I asked with eyes wide open.

"You are going to be the Luna. You must train to defend yourself at least. That training course was what every pack member has to go through. You should be trained better than that. Get down in five. I'll be waiting for you in the woods in front of the pack house," he said as he turned around to leave.

"Hey! But, I wasn't aware of this arrangement that your Alpha made," I said stressing on the word 'Alpha'.

"You are now," he entered the elevator and the doors closed.

I turned around and entered my room. What a jerk! Xavier should have told me that. I am dead tired but now I have to do some stupid training.

I stomped my way towards the bathroom. Splashing the cold water on my face, I rubbed the sleep away. Getting out, I grabbed a brush and threw my 'bird's nest' up in a ponytail. I threw on my black tights and a plain green t-shirt. Grabbing my converses, I wore them and hastily walked out of the room.

Reaching the first floor, I got out of the elevator and walked towards the front door speedily without paying attention.

Suddenly, I bumped into someone and fell.

"Hey, I am sorry. I was texting a friend and didn't notice you".

I looked up to see that it was Zander. My face instantly turned stern.

He offered a hand and I accepted it.

"I am sorry too. I wasn't paying attention either," I said as I wiped imaginary dirt from my clothes.

I stepped out of his way to leave but, heard his voice again.

"Hey"

"Yes?" I turned my face towards him.

"Um- I wanted to tell you that I am sorry for acting like a jerk the other day. I know I was a complete jerk to you," he said awkwardly, scratching the back of his neck.

"That you were," I folded my arms and raised an eyebrow at him.

"I am really ashamed," he said nodding his head.

"Apology accepted," I smiled at him.

He looked up in shock then, suddenly his face broke into a huge grin. Suddenly, he enveloped me in a tight hug.

"Thank you, Evangeline," he said.

He released me and stepped back. I just stood there awkwardly with my hands on my sides.
