Eva's POV

He moved forward which caused me to step back. It seemed as if it angered him more. I backed away into my chair. He kept moving closer. I stopped moving and held my breath.

I looked towards my left towards Asher for some help. But, he had his arms folded on his chest and his lips in a thin line. I gave him a desperate look but he just raised an eyebrow at me.

Looking at Anna and Jade gave me no hope. They just had their mouth hanging open. Jade looked as if she were about to faint. Her face was ghostly pale while staring at Xavier. Uh oh. Nobody's going to help me.

I turned my eyes back to Xavier. A gasp escaped my lips when I saw how close was he. His hot breath fanned my ear, but I stood still.

In my head, it was a turmoil. Oh, my God! What is he going to do? Is he going to kill me? No! He won't kill me. I am his mate. Mates don't kill each other, right?

Without saying anything, he took a step back. His deep blue eyes stared hard into mine. I gulped down in fear.

He started to crouch down. He wrapped an arm around my legs and placed the other hand on my lower back. What the-

A small shriek escaped my lips as he picked me up and threw me on his shoulder like a potato sack. I froze. He started walking out of the food court.

I looked back at my so-called friends. Asher had a smirk on his face while Anna was laughing her a** off. On the other hand, Jade was still looking quite shocked.

I got out of my initial shock and started thrashing out of his hold.

"What are you doing? Put me down," I hissed at him.

He didn't reply and kept walking.

"I swear I'm going to scream so loud that you will regret ever doing this," I yelled at him.

People were staring at us. Some were confused but most of them looked amused.

"What?" I glared at a guy who was staring at me.

He just shrugged at me and kept on walking.

"So, you won't put me down. That's alright," I nodded to myself and started screaming loudly.

"HELP! Somebody help! This man is abducting me. Oh My God! He is a murderer. Help!"

Suddenly, he placed me down and put his hand on my mouth, stopping me from my screaming session.

"What?" I mumbled into his palm glaring at him.

Suddenly, his eyes changed to the deep blue ones and his hand left my mouth.

Placing his index finger on my lips, he shushed me.

"Shhh, baby girl. We didn't like what you did back there," his wolf spoke.

I gulped down at his no non-sense tone.

"Now, be a good little girl and sit in the passenger seat," he motioned towards his car.

I kept my eyes on him but opened the door and sat in the passenger seat nonetheless.

He leaned towards me and put my seatbelt on. Then, he sat in the driver's seat and started the car.
