Stretching his limbs as he sat up, letting out a loud yawn Sungjae was greeted by the bright morning sun that peeks through the slits of his curtain covered window.
Smiling foolishly he laid back on the bed searching for his phone lazily under the pillow looking at the time with his one eye open.
6am
'I planned on waking up early but not this early.' He murmured still sleepy.
His class starts at 8am and the school is just few blocks from their house.
He slept late last night contemplating on what he should do to show Sooyoung that he's serious about her.
He sat back up rubbing his eyes yawning. He shook his head lightly to wake himself.
'I'm m not a morning person. I can't believe I'm m doing this.' He mumbled smiling at how ironic the situation he was in.
He stood up making his bed, opening his curtain welcoming the rays of sun inside his room.
Taking a warm shower to wake his nerves he remembered how he got the presents he prepared for Sooyoung.
Whistling along the wind as he stride down the street, both of his hands on his pocket.
A young little girl approached him pushing to him the bouquet she's holding.
He was thinking that he has no one to give the flowers to.
"Sir, please buy all these flowers so I could go home" the young girl muttered smiling.
"I have no one to give the flowers to, kid." He replied patting the little girls hair.
"You can give it to your girlfriend she'll love it." She replied smiling cutely batting her eyelashes making her huge eyes twinkle.
He chuckled lightly pinching her cheeks as he can't help but see the resemblance of Sooyoung in the little girl in front of her.
"Alright then. How much is it?" He asked taking out his wallet from his back pocket.
"Ten dollars. And can you please wait for me here? I'll give you something." The girl utter almost out of breath then she ran off not waiting for Sungjae's reply.
He laughed lightly looking at how she managed to run fast with those small limbs.
The girl went to a souvenir shop talking to an elderly lady and ran back towards him with two key chains on her small hands.
"Today is my birthday..." The girl muttered almost breathless with her right hand holding the key chains and giving it to Sungjae and her left hand on her knee supporting her weight.
"Oh. Happy birthday. I should buy you a cake then." He replied.
The girl shook her head smiling.
"No, thank you for buying the flowers, I could go home earlier and celebrate a few hours with my siblings." She replied smiling wide.
"Let me get you a cake that you can share with your siblings then." He smiled grabbing her small hands and went inside the busy night market looking for a bakeshop.
He found a small bakeshop. They entered and lead her to a seat near the counter.
Smiling he asked "What's your name?"
"Joy" the girl smilingly replied.
He smiled replying "That's a pretty name. What flavor would you like?"
