-*awkward laugh* "No kholto not right now."

-Eh wallah? I know zis man. Perfect guy for you. Wallah habibi listen to me."

-"Wallah thanks bas I'm focusing on school right now."

- "Eh eh habibi ya shatra!!! Badik tamleh doctora?!" (Translation: "Yes yes sweetheart, good girl! You are becoming a doctor?")

-"No I was thinking something else!"

-*stares at you with blank face* "ya hmara ente. Walaw? Bikeh shi? La2 badik tamleh doctora fa khalas. That is what I say, no more saying so."
(Translation: "You ass. Are you serious? Is there something wrong with you? No you are going to become a doctor so stop")

No but seriously family gatherings are quite overwhelming. Your mom making you serve everyone what they want, sit and listen to them talk about politics (because suddenly every Lebanese person is a politician)

Oh and don't get me started on the food. Your mama is bringing out food from the left and from the right. There are snacks being put on the table that you didn't even know you had! 😂
And going to other family gatherings? God forbid you should ever show up empty handed! That is haram habibi. Go pick up a box of sweets or something, but don't ever show up empty handed 😳

Sometimes you'll even get invited to people's houses you don't like, your mama doesn't even like!

-"Mama do we have to go?"

-"eh habibi, ya3neh 3yb"
(Translation: yes habibi, that's rude)

-"but you don't even like her!"

-"eh mab7bah walah marah, bas bednan ro7."
(Translation: Yes I don't like her not even once, but we have to go)

-"huhhh fine"

*mama knocks on door and lady answers*

-Mama: "hayati ente!!! I've missed you so much I love you!"

-You in your mind: "B!tch wtff!!"

Annnnd scene...... again...😂 (sorry if my translations suck some stuff I literally only know in Arabic and suck at translating)😂😭
