----------In The Hospital Room----------
Kayla's P.O.V
"Okay, let's check how many center meters you are." The midwife smiled.
"Right, you are 2 cm, this is going to be a long labour. So just sit back and relax, maybe talk about some baby names. I will be back soon " She told us. "Okay thank you!" I smiled and she left.
"Boys names?" Shawn turned to me.
"I like Peter and Noah, Theo, I like Mateo too." I said. "Noah is your brothers name" Shawn chuckled.
"Oh yeah," I laughed. "Peter Mateo Mendes" I smiled. "I like it" Shawn kissed my head.
"I love Leilani Katherine Mendes for a girl" I told him. "I love that!" Shawn smiled.
"Ow!" I grabbed my stomach. "Contraction?" He asked. I nodded, vigorously. "Squeeze my hand and breath" He told me.
I grabbed his hand and took some deep breaths.
5 hours later
"Okay your now 6 cm, how far apart are your contractions?" The midwife smiled, taking off her gloves.
"5 minutes apart, they last for about 40 seconds." I told her.
"Okay that's great, I will be back in about 1 hour" She left the room.
I decided to Skype Ricky and Alex.
Me - Hi! (Wave)
Ricky - Hey girl! Where are you?
Alex - Hey! Is that a hospital bed?
Me - I'm having a baby! (Grin)
Ricky - OMG!!! GOOD LUCK YUMMY MUMMY!
Shawn - She is still mine! (Poked head into shot)
Alex - Hahaha
Alex - So how are you? How many cm?
Me - I'm okay, I'm 6cm but I have been in labour for 5 hours.
Ricky - Aw Kay Babe, can we come see you?
Me - Sure! I won't have to push for a few more hours (smile)
Alex - Which hospital are you at?
Me - *Hospital*
Alex - Okay! Bye! See you soon beautiful!
Me - Bye! (Wave)
I hung up.
20 minutes later
There was a knock on the door. "Come in!" Shawn called.
Ricky and Alex walked in. Alexa was holding a small teddy bear. "For the baby" She smiled.
"Aw it's so cute!" I took the bear. Ricky handed Shawn something. It was a pack of condoms.
"OMG Ricky!!" I laughed. "What?" He giggled.
"Shawn!" I grabbed his hand. "Breath." He told me calmly. 39 seconds later the contraction stopped.
"Wow that looked rough." Ricky gasped. "It was." I burst out in tears.
"I'm so scared!" I cried. Shawn got up onto the bed and sat me on his lap. "I know, baby, I know" He kissed my head.
"The birth or having a human to look after?" Ricky asked.
"The birth! I can't wait to have a baby! They're so cute and tiny!" I cried. Shawn stroked my hair. "Me too" He smiled.
I wiped the tears away. "I'm sorry," I sniffed. "Why?" Alex asked. "For crying!"
"Don't be sorry, I would be terrified. Your going to be fine! Remember 5 minutes of pain for a lifetime of happiness!" We hugged.
The midwife then walked in. "Wow your 10 center meters already, okay I'm going to have to ask you to leave." The midwife said to Ricky and Alex.
"Bye! Good luck!" Ricky waved, so did Alex.
I waved back.
"Okay, are you ready to push?" She asked.
"Yes"
