Chapter 11 - Cold

"You can cook?" I asked Axel.

"You can't cook?" He asked me and I shook my head.

"I promise I'll learn how to cook" I smiled and he shook his head

"No thanks.. a reckless girl like you will burn my house" He said coldly and I pouted

"Don't be so cold to your future wife, Mr. Cesborn" I said and he glared at me

"I can't believe, I'm marrying a girl like you.." He sighed

"Is Trissa proper? I mean.. I only can't cook. I'm studying my butt off since I was a kid and have no interest in cooking" I said

"Trissa indeed a perfect girl.. if you look at her from the outside" Axel said and I was quite shocked to see him opening up to me.

"He cheated on you with a lot of guys huh?" I asked

"None of your business." He said coldly. He has a turn on and off button for his coldness. Gosh.. I wish I can press off.

"So.. let's start to know about each other.." I said cheerfully and he glared at me

"What?"

"You don't need to know me.. just tell me about yourself only" He said

"What? Knowing each other is two ways.. Axel.. not one way kinda thing" I said

"I don't care, you're the one who need my help not me."

"But I need to know you future husband more" I said as I smiled widely. He looked at me in disgust.

"Oh come on.. I mean I might be flat here and there at least I have a beautiful face.. am I right?"

"You're so full of yourself. It's annoying" He hissed as he put salt and pepper to the meat. He put the mini potatos into the oven along with the carrots.

"I'm annoying? You're the first one to say that.."

"Oh really? Then I will say that to you everyday so you can realize it" He said in a sarcastic tone

"You're so mean" I pouted

"Then marry someone else" He said looking at me

"No.. I want you. You're cute" I said sweetly and he glared at me.

"You're too handsome to glare and to be cold" I said

"Shut it"

"Do you have anything else? I'm hungry" I walked towards the fridge and opened it. Oh my gosh.. nothing

"We need to go grocery shopping tomorrow"

"You go alone.." He said coldly again

"We need to go together, we're going to get married remember?" I asked as I looked at him

"Just go to our own way, Stella. It's not real why are you so into it?" He asked and I walked to him closer. I sat on the table beside the stove and he looked at me.

"Why am I really into it? The answer is.. I don't know. I just care for you. It felt so natural to say that. It's not even weird to say that we're going to get married or we're couple. I felt that we're going to fill our each other's flaws." I said and he just looked at me blankly

"We're not real, Stella. Get in your head that. I don't like a girl like you."

"I know.. no one even like me for real even once" I stated and then laughed

"I dated a few guys but it never last long.. or they just played me.. I mean you're right. I'm kinda cheap, that's why they play me" I said as I got down from the table

"That's why you need to change! You act so reckless.. no one will care about you" He said in a cold tone and I nodded

"Yeah.. you're right" I said and I felt sad when he said that. I mean he's not wrong but somehow it hurted me.

"Look.. Stella.."

"Is it ready yet? I'm hungry." I changed the subject and he nodded weakly. He put in on the plate and I clapped my hands

"Thankyou.." I said as I brought the 2 plates to the table. I took 2 glass of water and put on the table too. I waited for him to sit down so we can eat together.

"Stella.. look.."

"Do you know why I want to be a doctor?" I asked changing the subject. I don't want him to feel guilty because everything he said was right.

"I want to help people with deadly diseases. I want to find them a way to help them live. To help them to see the world more.. I want to see them happy.." I said and Axel just looked blankly at the food

"Look.. Axel.. I know this thing will be on your back after we got married. Especially you have to hold 2 company at once but I promise you.. I will help you. I can manage to keep my compan-"

"It's my decision to be like this so I know the consequence well" He said

"No.. I will help you. Don't worry.. I promise" I smiled and he just looked at me with unreadable question.

"You're helping me but I can't just leave it all to you 100%. It's my company and I don't want to use you in this. You helped me so indeed I won't let you down. I promise" I said and he nodded weakly

"Just think about your school" He said

"I can't thank enough for everything.. really.. Thankyou.." I said

"Stop saying thankyou.. I'm sick of it" He said in cold tone and glared at me

"This looks good.." I said and started to dig in.
