Chapter 20: The Breakup

After yesterday's shenanigans you decided to call the principal and tell him you were sick. You did so and decided to fly around in your suit. You got your suit and began flying around, you flew over the school and saw Peter with his arm around Chloe, this made you feel sick. You really wanted to shoot her but you couldn't so you fired a small rocket near her so she would be hit by the shockwave. Her and Peter were sat on the back of a bench and the shockwave pushed both of them backwards, Peter's spider senses kept him on his feet but Chloe was thrown backwards into a muddy mole hill which you found hilarious. You laughed so much you forgot about the thrusters on your suit so you began falling to the ground, you realised and activated your suit just in time or you would smash into the ground of the school garden. You landed and looked around, people were staring at you until someone cheered
"That was awesome bro!"
"Yeah!"
You laughed and said,
"Thanks guys, all of you are cool too"
"Oh my god she is so kind" you heard a girl say to her friend
"I know right, I love her!" The friend replied.

A timid boy named Thomas quickly walked up to you and thrust his arm at you,
"Please, could you sign my cast... You are so amazing!" He said
"Of course" you said as you signed his cast with your superhero name. Soon enough there was a queue of people waiting to get your autograph. There were a few people left in the queue and you were enjoying giving people your autograph until Flash walked up to you. He handed you a piece of paper and as you signed it he said,
"So, do you have a crush on anyone?" He wiggled his eyebrows
"I do actually, what about you?"
"I do to!" He said
"Oh, do tell" you replied smirking
"Oh, uhh... Well, there's this beautiful girl called (Y/N) and she's amazing and funny but I think she likes someone else" he said sadly. You glanced at Peter and Chloe and it gave you an idea. You put you hand on his shoulder
"Who knows she could like you back" you replied. He smiled and walked away, you left soon after you finished signing things for people. You flew home, ate and lazed around for the rest of the day. The next day you went to school but before class you walked up to Flash. You tried to look nervous and slightly scared.
"Um, F-Flash... Could I talk to you for a moment please" you said, looking down and playing with your fingers.
A light blush was dusted across his cheeks as he said
"Yeah sure"
You lead him away from his group of friends so you could be alone.
"I- I really like you and... And I was wondering if you would like to go out with me?" You stuttered
"Yes! Yes, I would love to! I've had a crush on you for ages!" He said excitedly. He held your hands and slowly kissed them then he hugged you. You could smell his cologne, it smelled amazing. You broke from the hug when the school bell rang and you went to class. In every class you sat by Flash since Peter was always sat by Chloe. He always had his hand on your thigh in class and you found it adorable. He always walked you home and made sure you were safe. You felt kind of bad for using him to make Peter jealous.

It was a month after you started dating and you walked to school but Flash wasn't waiting by the gate like usual so you wandered into the school and sat on a bench. Suddenly you heard arguing, it was Peter and Chloe.
"I hate you!" She yelled
"Babe please, I'm sorry" Peter tried to reason with her
"No you're not, you care more about her than me" she shouted
"Babe no-"
She slapped him right across the face
"We're done" she spat before she stomped off.
Peter just stood there, he was stunned. He looked at you and you could see rage in his eyes. You stood up.
"Peter, I-"
"Shut up! You ruined everything for me!" He yelled at you. You jumped when he shouted and took a step back. Tears welled in your eyes and you took another step back. Flash ran up to you and hugged you protectively.
"Fuck off Parker!" He shouted "leave (Y/N) alone"
He looked at you crying into his shirt,
"It's ok babe, I'm here now" Flash said as he stroked your hair. You looked at Peter. All of his rage had gone and his eyes were filled with sorrow. He looked at you sadly and you could have sworn you saw some tears form in his eyes before he hurriedly walked away. Flash released you, dried your eyes and you walked to class together.
