Chapter 18: Feelings

The next day you got ready for school, it was the same old boring day. However, there were loads of theories about who (S/H/N) was. You were in science class and the teacher had left the room, so the class started talking about who (S/H/N) was.
"Oh my god, she is so amazing!!" A girl yelled "she's so badass"
"Yeah, I totally ship her and Spiderman, I need to write a fanfic!!" Another girl replied. You laughed at them as they were squealing to each other but Flash caught your attention. He was bragging to his friends that (S/H/N) kissed him last night because he's a hero.
"She's beautiful and so clever, a bad guy was running down the street past me and I knocked him out. And then," he puffed out his chest "she kissed me as a reward for catching that guy"
This made you so angry, you were ready to beat the shit out of Flash right here and now. You stood up but Peter put a hand on your shoulder and pulled you back down.

"It's not worth it" he said

"It is, I'm sick of him making shit up" you replied, letting your blood boil.

"It's not I promise." You looked at him then back at Flash
"Anyway the first part of his story​ is true" Peter mumbled, not loud enough for you to hear.

"What was the last part?" You asked

Peter jumped slightly "uhh, nothing I didn't say anything" he said quickly. You narrowed your eyes at him and sighed. The teacher walked back in and told everyone to pack their things away since it was the end of the lesson. Lunch was next, you were walking with Peter to the lunch hall when a really pretty and popular girl stopped him in the hallway. Peter turned a faint shade of pink and asked if everything was ok.

"I just wanted to talk to you" she said

"Oh, uh sure" Peter replied

She glanced at you "Alone" she spat.
You were taken aback by this but you said you would wait for Peter in the lunch hall. You walked into the hall and sat down, you didn't feel hungry. There was a feeling down in the pit of your stomach, you weren't sure what it was. You didn't know the girl's name but you did know who her friends were, you didn't really like any of them. They sat at the end of your table and started talking in loud whispers.
"Where has Chloe gone" the one girl said.
"She went to ask out that Peter Parker" the second girl said.
"No way!" The third and first girls gasped.
"Yeah, it's obvious that he likes her he's always blushing when she speaks to him and I've seen him stare at her in class." The second girl said.

You couldn't take this anymore, you jogged outside and sat at the bottom of the big Oak tree on the hill. You saw Peter across the other side of the big  garden, you didn't feel like talking to anyone right now so you climbed up into the tree, you were hidden by the branches so you could see the people at the bottom of the tree but they couldn't see you. You stayed there for about 10 minutes and then you saw Peter at the foot of the tree.

"(Y/N)! Where are you! I have the best news to tell you!" He shouted looking around for you. Suddenly that Chloe girl appeared and held Peter's hand.

"Hey baby, who are you looking for?" She asked
"I was looking for (Y/N) but I can't find her, I want to tell her that we are dating" Peter replied. You silently gasped. "You don't need to find her, just forget about her, focus on me" Chloe said as she planted a short kiss on Peter's cheek.
Peter went pink and said "you're right babe. I've got to go to class now to I'll see you at the end of the day" he walked away but Chloe still stood there. She laughed and started to walk away. You felt your blood boil so you reached into your lunch bag and brought out a mouldy old apple that has been in there for weeks. You hurled it at the back of her head with such force that it exploded and she had bits of soft brown apple stuck in her hair. You laughed as she assumed it was a nearby boy and started yelling at him. You only had one lesson left but you didn't feel like going to that so you stayed in the tree feeling many strange feelings. First of all it was anger, you hated how that girl just manipulates Peter, you suspected that she didn't even like him. Next was sadness, you were upset that Peter is going to ignore you because he is your best friend. And thirdly... It was jealousy. You weren't even sure why you were jealous, you just hated the thought of Peter being with another girl; showing her all his affection and love, when she didn't even deserve it. What was happening to you, it felt like much stronger jealousy than you have ever experienced before. You didn't know how to cope with it, you just wanted to slap the false eyelashes off that hoe.
You realised that it was now dark outside so you climbed out if the tree, climbed over the fence of the school and walked home. That night you fell asleep wondering...
